At work, since I’m the sole IT, I’ve been putting everything into MkDocs and it’s been working out great for the team. Only complaint is that I can’t seem to figure out how to update anything without just relaunching the Docker container every time. They mention that you can live reload, but not how.

Believe it or not, you can even be a fan of a team in a place you’ve never lived. The rules are made up and the points don’t matter.
I’ve bounced around for nearly 15 years in the world of Linux. Some of the ones I’ve used over the years:
The one I use currently is EndeavorOS. I landed on it because it’s been the most reliable and consistent for me personally at running games out of the box without extra configuration.

I’m running OMV with the Docker Compose plugin and I just SSH in for everything else. I run this stack both at home and work. It’s a good middle ground for me of stability and customizability.

This alone is enough to convince me that we have life spread across the universe. I’ve always found the thought that we’re on the only planet in the entire universe to support life to be incredibly selfish. There’s no way we’re that special.

Hindsight is 20:20, but for anyone else reading this, my method for server transfers like this is to have a physical offline backup from the start of the transfer process. (obviously would need more disks if you have a big array, but at this scale you should have enough experience to handle this)
Once I have the physical backup, I set it aside, unplugged, until the entire process is done and I confirm it all went well. Then I feel safe enough to use that drive again after the first week or so goes smoothly.

https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/environment/bicycle_pedestrian/resources/crosswalk_marking_selection_guide.pdf, Page 22. It’s not one of the official crosswalk selection options. Page 23 talks more about how decorative options fit into it and how it should be low contrast.

The old design has the rainbow across the crosswalk, which actually does go against traffic safety standards, so the reason for it gaining the attention to get removed may not have been valid, but the actual removal reason was. And to show faith, they just redesigned it to meet standards. Here’s the original design:

He’s going to need a lot more felonies.

This is actually one I didn’t know about. A small gesture, but a pleasant one. Of course the only story that made the front page was the one that sparked outrage when it was originally removed.

That’s all I can think.

Fucking ghouls
Interesting. I’ve changed my hostname on a few machines throughout the past and never ran into this. Good to know if I ever run into this in the future.

It sits in a read only container anyway. Worst someone could do is wreck my config.

I personally use Jellyfin because it means I can have a public-facing page with a login that I can access from any device with a web browser, including at work, without having to install software or use my VPN. I do organize everything meticulously on the backend, but it’s just way more convenient for portability.

Don’t Be Evil (as possible)

Sadly the Reddit this guy commented on is not the Reddit of today. All the greats will fall in time. Only for another to take their place.
I’ve heard the explanation being that it’s a defense against treating dead bodies as alive and spending resources on them at a primal level. Just imagining when we first developed empathy and tried at length to care for those who we lost and evolution needed us to focus on the live ones.
