It’s unfortunate that there’s no way to see that a community is on a dead instance - lemm.ee communities will still show up in searches, show that they have subscribers, and look exactly like any other community, including letting you create new posts.

“This animal eats ants, so let’s call it an Anteater.”
“What about this other one that also eats ants?”
“Uh, I dunno, Numbat I guess?”
You can buy disposable dust cloths which are good at picking up and holding onto dust.
FYI if you format the community links like !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world it will link people to the community on their own instance.
Check out !lemmy411@lemmy.ca - you can make a post asking about what kind of content or discussions you’re looking for and people may be able to point you in the right direction.
Some discussion communities I follow that aren’t about a specific topic:
!nostupidquestions@lemmy.world
edit: I also know of !casualconversation@piefed.social although I don’t follow it.

Knowing very little about champagne, I would assume Dom Perignon

Automatic posting from Reddit has been tried before and has been pretty unpopular for the most part. Here’s an old thread with some good discussion about it:
Is a substack just a blog, or am I missing something?

Long passwords are more secure which is why I chose PasswordAdminQwertyAbcdefg1234567890987654321

Here’s the proof: for each number between 0 and 1, double it and you get a unique number between 0 and 2. And you can do the reverse by halving. So every number in the first set is matched with every number in the second set, meaning they’re the same size.

Thanks Mamdani

Yeah, from a lot of the responses I’m seeing my ignorance on the matter. I’m in a big city so it’s probably very different.

“Have a good day” sounds too cliche to me, at least when I’m at work. It’s like saying “we apologize for the inconvenience” where it feels like an insincere, canned phrase.

That sounds awesome.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to spend that much everyday, I’ll just have some beers at home for 1/5th the price
Is this not at all stochastic, or do I just not know what stochastic means?
