Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been using soulseek but not sure how can it be used for music discovery (it works perfectly if I know what I want)
Check flokinet.is In general islanding provider should have features you are looking for, I like flokinet.
I like my librem5 (hardware, feel etc). Software is obviously yet to catch up (from my perspective).
I just wish as a company they upgrade (forthcoming) their communication
Putting someone else’s life in danger (unprovoked) is not a free speech
The rise of red shadow and the series (book of deacon). Also angry ghosts trilogy.
Mycroft as a company got shut down but there is OpenVoiceOS and neon both working with Mycroft mk2 hardware and home assistant
Have u tried soulseek in that case? U can find all music lossless.(podcasts etc I still can’t find there). nicotine+ is pretty good client for soulseek.
I think this is where login option comes in, i’ll report back if it works differently between logged in vs logged out.
As for differential - yes it can download incremental given you don’t move the files / folders ( doesn’t have database, but check for file existence in the path )
Spotiflyer https://spotiflyer.app/ No lossless downloads though (320kbps)
This kind of works
I’ve been using soulseek quite a bit and love it. However maybe I need to learn how to look for regional content, generally search with album name comes empty but i’ll try again.
But that’s solo1, is it same for solo2 as well?
I think I figured it and setup correctly. I’ll never say no to jazz or some death metal though. Thanks for walking me through.
Awesome thanks a lot for explanation, i’ll go over this when i’m at computer and let you know if any more doubts.
If i’m just starting with collecting music, how/what do I put for sharing (current collection is empty or at max 20 files). Can I go ahead with empty shared folder and start sharing as I download?
I’ve seen soulseek and nicotine+ recommended a lot, however is there how to use them tutorial? Or is it so simple that it doesn’t need one ?(i opened nicotine+ and couldn’t figure out what to do next)
To start with you can grab whatever hardware u have (or buy whatever on ebay) if you are spending money then new hdd and some way to add redundancy. Throw proxmox on it (or TrueNAS), proxmox will serve you in multiple ways. Install cockpit to serve HDDs over samba / nfs.

Yes, also generally I donate different project every 6 months (instead of recurring payment to one project).
Are u trying to install on x86 or ARM? ARM has images u can use. As for x86 I didn’t find distro with out of the box bigscreen configured, however there are AUR recipes - makes it easy to use it on Manjaro.
It worked pretty decent for me trying it first time. Even has way to continue if songs r missing in soulseek
