No, originally the first three digits designated where you lived when you requested your SSN. The middle two were also not sequential. The final four digits were the only purely sequential ones.

Thanks for the confirmation, robobruddah
AFAIK ex-presidents aren’t allowed to leave the country without specific permission, due to all the classified crap in their heads. If one tried to flee the country, it would be their detail’s duty to detain them.
Heck, they’re not even allowed to drive in public roads… not that Trump has probably ever driven a car.
I’ve never tried one, but now it seems I have to.
Cinnamon apple jelly should be more common too! (Not apple butter… fuck Apple butter).
Apple cinnamon all the things!
I asked people to take handover for a full month before I left and nobody cared. On my last day they kept asking if they could call me with questions. I said only if they had their credit cards ready because I wasn’t going to work for free.
I’m enjoying it a lot so far. I haven’t missed working at all.
I retired about a year ago, so the left-most book on the middle row is about me.
As if I needed another reason to hate candles.
Usually just a small amount of food is enough, but your pharmacist should talk to you the first time you fill the prescription and tell you if more is necessary
Yeah, I think it’s a form of the survivorship bias. Not too long ago, based on a discord voice conversation, I listened to the top 100 songs from 1977. One of the top 100 was Ariel by Dean Friedman. If you think that’s a great song, you’re higher than he was when he recorded it.
From Serious Eats:
First off, it’s true: mushrooms do absorb water when you wash them, but it’s only about 2% of their total weight, or, translated to volume, that’s about 1 1/2 teaspoons of water per pound, which in turn translates to an extra 15 to 30 seconds of cooking time.
“Soggy” is an exaggeration.
There are a lot of people who think, largely due to misinformed cooking shows, that you shouldn’t wash mushrooms, just wipe them off.
If you want them washed, maybe say “Hey, I can help out by washing those for you.”
Tell me you’re young without telling me you’re young.
Paper towels, for most of my life (I’m old AF), were as long as they were wide. Square, they were. Bounty originated select-a-size by perforating them twice as frequently, so they were half as long as wide. Others eventually followed suit and now youngsters think that’s how it’s always been.
I’m not sure if it’s even possible to mix two sources with Bluetooth multipoint. I’ve never seen a device that could.
The few that I’ve seen that can mix sources have all had Bluetooth plus a wireless dongle and they could mix the two connections.
It’s a neat idea but it looks like the company doesn’t have the resources to create decent hardware to carry it out
Pandora, because I like to pick one song or band and have it create a radio station for me. I’ve tried most of the other services that say they do the same thing and none of them are nearly as good at it as Pandora.
It’s cute how these memes act like weekends are a thing.
Must be a regional thing because for me “our” always sounds like “hour” no matter what
