It will be a good bit of side money I can put to use. It’s down the road from my normal job, and I can apply everything I’ve learned there to help this guy out.

Oh, and Jaycar is selling an RPi copy pretty cheap at the moment, the Rock 4C. I’ve been looking at these sorts of things for a while and decided to finally get one. It will really just be another computer around but at least it’s not as big as a laptop.

I went to a guy’s business that’s looking for some marketing support today. He wasn’t there but it worked out well. I asked for him and one of his employees called him and put me on the phone, that proves I showed up and was there.

He said to come back at 7:30 tomorrow morning to talk, I bet he thinks I won’t show up. I’ve been looking for a bit of extra side work like this for a couple of years now, I had some stuff going on before the boys were born and that fell away, I haven’t been able to find anything since.

I feel like I’m going to get something because this sort of side work always comes in twos for me. I’ve been talking to some other potential leads and one of them will probably come through at the same time.

Go to the pharmacy and ask for the Pseudo cold and flu tablets. They make a real difference and are much better than the off the shelf varieties

I rode up to the water tower again yesterday and cutting across the hills is very doable. The park construction could be a blocker at times but there are still other options for me to try out.

We went to the burlesque show for our Anniversary last night. There was a best dressed prize so I told my girlfriend to find something she’s never had a chance to wear and dress as gay as you can.

My logic was you dress up extravagantly as you can because there will either be someone more dressed up as you, or you win a prize.

And she won!

She felt overdressed because most of the crowd was just old people, but that meant she was the clear winner, so she had a good time and it made the night a bit more special

I felt like there could have been more exploration of the anarchistic commune and everyone’s role within it but we don’t get those kinds of stories

I went to the local repair cafe and spoke to them about running an information session on switching old computers to linux.

They’re open to it, so I’ll have to put some things together and figure out a date.

I figure I could always make a big deal about linux gaming and turning your old hardware into a steam deck, then targeting it at teenagers in the area if I want to boost numbers

I feel like people don’t understand the impact medication has when it flattens everything out. Drugs may get rid of the lows, but they also shave off all the highs and that can take quite a toll on you

Working from home today, just because. It’s been a mentally big week with the ecommerce launch and Head Office country has a public holiday today so not much would be getting done anyway

It’s hard when you haven’t done it in a while. Once you enter Jobseeker Mode you get into a better rhythm and you start seeing things you do at work from the perspective of how it would look on your resume. It’s good to enter that mode occasionally to keep things up to date

I still need to watch the first two but my friends are already buying tickets for 28 years. I’ll just have to piece it all together
