Oh dang! My coworker was just there. Looks like he got back just in time.

Lemmy doesn’t follow mastodon, as far as I know. I like it that way. I was not a fan of mastodon. I made accounts on kbin, Lemmy, and mastodon during the blackout, and Lemmy is the only one I’m still using. I heard of a similar-to-mastodon place called Squabbles, which is NOT part of the fediverse, and I love it there.

I started with accounts on both and found myself liking Lemmy better. I actually haven’t been on kbin in days.

It’s on par with reddit’s right now, lol. But I imagine it’s on the list, just not very high priority right now.

It won’t let me log in, so no, it doesn’t “work fine.” But I have six other apps for Lemmy, so I’m not worried. It’ll all be sorted eventually.

For real, it made me incredibly happy.

I don’t know how old you are, but I grew up before the smoking ban. It was pretty common, and I had several relatives who smoked, but neither of my parents did. Smells bad and makes it hard to breathe, so I’ve always hated it.

No, I’ve pretty much found it repulsive my entire life.

I use the message app that came with my phone, lol. No one in my life seems to use anything else, either.

Also, passengers, don’t put your feet on the dash unless you want your knees to go through your face in an accident.

Can you use your home office days to look for other work that’s closer to home or is wfh? A commute like that is incomprehensible to me. I’m lucky enough that I have never worked more than 20 minutes from my house, and I don’t even apply to jobs that are further away. I understand not everyone can do that she to their industry and costs of living in certain areas, but 3 hours a day of commute is brutal.

In my mind, if you’re missing out on time with your family, especially your child, it’s a no brainier. But, because you have a family to support, you should find a new job before you quit this one. A job you like and quality time at home is better than your dream job and missing all the milestones of growing up.

Sure, but now things are escalating. Quickly.

Right now I’m trialing Jerboa, Connect, Lemmy, and Liftoff. Jerboa is frozen for me until lemmy.world updates to 18.1 but I really like it. I like Liftoff and Connect, too, so I’ll keep trying them as they continue to develop and decide down the line which I like best.

Things are escalating quickly in Russia.

It’s obviously circumstantial, but if you’re not doing anything wrong they shouldn’t have a reason to come in. Some cops will make up reasons, or might think a health check is enough reason. It all depends. They do need to believe someone is in danger inside your home. I’ve been welfare checked, and they didn’t even ask to come in. I talked to them on my front steps.

This is the reddit Lemmy community, so I think it is actually you who should be answering any you would do this.

Also, the shitshow is fun to watch, and as someone who was on old Reddit when it was the only reddit, I’m interested in it’s downfall. I haven’t been on Reddit since the blackout started, so this is how I get my updates.
