That’s funny, because complaining about the “far left” or the “far right” sounds centrist to me. It’s like you’re saying “Oh, the people closer to the center are okay. It’s those crazy extremists I have a problem with!”

If you’re anti-left or anti-right, just own it ffs. I consider myself a leftist, so I don’t bother specifying whether something I disagree with is “far right” or not; it’s all just right-wing to me. If the people on the right want to distance themselves from the extremists on their side, that’s their business. I’m not gonna make that determination for them.

That weaselly way of talking reminds me of people like Gavin Newsom who finds ICE distasteful but supports discriminating against trans women in sports. No doubt he finds the former position “far right”, but the latter one is just common sense or some nonsense. Both of those stances are extremist!

I don’t get the hostility. It seemed like a pretty uncontroversial observation to me. Nobody complains about “the left”, they complain about “the far left”; nobody complains about “the right”, they complain about “the far right”. Anybody with two brain cells to rub together can observe this.

I have no idea why this would upset anybody, but it seems like I’ve triggered some people. Unless you’re just bots, in which case: deuces.

I became involved because I reside in Washington County, I went to school my entire life in these schools. The things that are happening now have happened for as long as I can remember. It’s the “good ole boy” system. They protect each other and let each other get away with whatever they want, and it needs to stop.

Many such cases, tale as old as time, etc.

The people you disagree with are far right… or far left, depending upon your political orientation.

Why would you create something before there was demand for it? Seems completely backwards.

What would be motivating them to win? Does anybody even get fired when they lose? Do they lose any voters when they lose?

I think everything labeled “plant butter” is vegan, whereas “margarine” can contain both plant and animal fats. I don’t think that’s regulated, but I think that’s how those terms are used in practice. I always check the labels just to be sure, of course.

The reason why sports are segregated by gender is because men can’t stand to lose to women.

Think about this. Why are even non-contact sports segregated? Tennis? Why?!

Even chess is segregated by gender. Chess!

The only way that trans people make sense is if gender and sex are two separate things.

How is it that I, a straight man, am attracted to trans women if they’re actually men? Does that mean that I’m bisexual? No, because I’m not attracted to cis men. (Or trans men, for that matter.) Think about the pretzel logic you have to get into if you have a worldview like JK Rowling. “Bisexual for femininity” isn’t a thing. Straight men are attracted to women. Cis women, trans women. Women. Period.

Now, I know that it’s about more than attraction, but this is what got me to start thinking about this. Another was this thought experiment somebody gave me: “If your dick got chopped off, would you instantly turn into a woman?” No, of course not.

At this point a gender essentialist would probably start talking about chromosomes. Chromosomes determine what your gender is! Nobody uses this as a definition for gender in any practical way, though. When you’re looking at somebody from across the room, you don’t know what their chromosomes are. How many of your friends do you have chromosomal data on? How about the people you’ve dated? Are they going to use chromosomes to determine which bathroom you can use? Or which team you can play on? This is incoherent. It’s like basing gender upon whether you have an even or odd number of atoms in your body.

I had one person tell me that a trans woman would be unsuitable for marriage because she couldn’t give birth. I’m not interested in having children, but setting that aside…would they say the same thing about a cis woman who’s infertile? Every single one of these arguments is incoherent.

The one criticism that I felt had some truth to it is that it looks like it was designed by a 14-year-old boy. I think it appeals to my inner 14-year-old who wants neon icons and DRAGONS. But if Dr460nized is too garish for you and you want something more sophisticated, now there’s Mokka.
