It’s brought me joy in life and I’ve learned so many new things. How cool is it that we get to enjoy all of this cool stuff for free (as in cost) and free (as in freedom)?

That is all. Hope everyone has a nice day.

I have, no one gives a shit, actually why I instantly liked lemmy over reddit, I got banned from multiple subs there for saying I dislike our reliance/pushing for more h1vb visas when recent college grads here cant get jobs, super controversial on reddit got me a 7 day ban, here some ppl agree

Perhaps it depends on community but my experience has been pretty uniform: brigading, comment removal, bans, for expressing ideas that (according to opinion polls) are shared by literally most of the population. At first I was a bit shocked, now I know just to avoid politics, it’s not worth the trouble. If you’ve had a difference experience then good for you.

much easier to treat workers shittier if they can be replaced by h1b workers who can be treated even worse since they have to rush to find a job if fired to not get deported, and the ones that do stay are sending money back home, that money is not making its way back in the economy, also being indian what I hear from them in their “private” communities in hindi is that they hate western views and have no intention of staying here (which I guess conservatives would love, but there are so many ppl that genuinely want to be here and cant, I hate seeing that sht)
