As far as my experience goes in Germany, the fear is consistent with what was before covid. There are a few individuals with increased awareness that are stillmaskimng, especially in public transit but these are few. Which in turn is consistent with my observation that most good hygiene practice has stuck somewhat more. People wash their hands more often and there is much less talking down to germophobes. Even children are taught much better hygiene (to no avail in the daycare facilities for children)
