In addition to vehicles, Japan provides non-lethal aid to Ukraine, including bulletproof vests, gas masks, helmets, and surveillance drones.
Tokyo also participates in international coalitions for demining and IT support declared by Ukraine’s partner countries.

Japan made the first delivery in June 2024. At that time, Ukraine received 101 vehicles, including Toyota HMV army off-road vehicles, Mitsubishi Type 73 Kogata, and tracked engineering vehicles.
