Im so sorry. It’s hard to miss out when you’ve put so much work in. But you shouldn’t despair yet. I know people who graduated from all sorts of things where it took time to get a foot in the door. But they eventually did, and it worked out for them. If you are still keen to pursue it, then keep going.
This may be irrelevant, but are you able to travel out of town for work? I knew a person in a similar field who got a placement in a rural area, far less competitive. Commute might be tough for a while but might give you a start?
