I’m subscribed to different communities on other instances, and the posts there did not appear on this instance for the past 3 days.

Is it a known issue ?

Edit: The instance has switch to 0.18.0, and I don’t have the issue anymore. Thanks mods !

      Thanks for the feedback, so it seems that the issue is only to retrieve posts on other instances.

    I’ve been having a devil of a time trying to view new communities to subscribe to them. I just keep getting 404 errors.

      Communities only appear on this instance if they’ve already been discovered by somebody. If you get a 404 error, try pasting “!community_name@home.instance.name” into the community search field. It’ll say “no results” but it’ll actually fetch the community and then you can subscribe.

      Sometimes it still just randomly doesn’t work though.

    It’s happening to me too. I might take a break from Lemmy for a week and see if it sorts out.

    My timeline here - with a few subscriptions to communities on other servers - is also mostly at least three days old. I was assuming that Lemmy activity was just dying off.

          Ah yeah that’s me in this case ;) You might want to check my (not-so-much-lately-but-still-active) new log which I now host on gopher: gopher://phlog.z3bra.org (http proxy version). That’s where I log about the ideas I have in terms of tools (and there is also the “PROGRAMS” section on my website too).

    I’ve been having a (possibly) related issue where a post I made on another instance is not getting updated on ours. If I go directly to the instance, i can see comments from days ago that still don’t appear in my profile view.
