What's With the 'JFK Was Here' Banners in Downtown?
www.dallasobserver.com

The signs were erected in Dallas ahead of the 60th anniversary of Kennedy's slaying, but some aren't so sure about the slogan's effectiveness.

someone captioned a picture of one of the banners, later adding in a comment: “And then what happened.”

Lmao holy fuck that is amazingly, comically tasteless. Like sure, it was 60 years ago, but I’m also pretty sure that’s not an element of the city’s history that most current residents are terribly proud of.

It’s mind-blowing that they’d choose that for the actual article title.

      Still laugh about that phrase.

I hate it when people say “Happy Fall” and refuse to say “Happy Day JFK Was Shot.” Starbucks doesn’t even do a cup any more.

Do people under 25 years old feel the same way about 9-11 the same way I feel about the JFK/RFK headshots?

Personally I have them all confused for KFC. Fuck me KFC used to be better 15 years ago. Not that I’m a boomer or anything. They just totally watered down their fries. Upon other crimes.

                  Alright, what’s the recipe?

I really need to make chicken and waffles sometime. I have a great waffle maker, but I’m sure as shit not going to actually deep fry chicken.

It’s the switch to vegetable oils that did it, even though lard is actually healthier (way less gets absorbed)

Well, at least your demands for consent from the dead are funny. We should also get approval from that Kennedy that skied into a tree.
