I’ve only known two people who’ve done it and they were both kind of wankers. Probably not a big enough sample and possibly a fault from my end. I’m comfortable with public speaking, can’t say as to how good I am tho.
Did the standard course a good many years ago. It’s actually useful - very very good practice in public speaking. At that point in history it covered all the relevant stuff including how to do the body language. I would actually recommend it. Especially if public speaking or being the centre of a lot of peoples’ attention is something that you would like to do better, or at least less stressfully.
Anyone been to a Toastmasters club? Sometimes when I toast bread, it’s not that perfect golden brown shade. I do want to master the toast / j

Lots of senior IT people I’ve worked with (directors etc) do that stuff because they actually need to interact with other people eventually lol
