Date went okay. Guy was nice. We had some things in common but also were in different worlds. I think after I meet these next two people, I will quit this app thing.

It’s disconcerting when you have these great convos in text, get a kind of vibe going then meet the person and you can’t pick that vibe up in person.

It’s a really odd feeling. You know someone better from a distance than when you’re closer to them.

Yep, it sure is. That’s why in the future, I think I’ll try out calling before actually meeting the person. Hinge doesn’t have that option unfortunately, so maybe I’ll have to redownload Instagram or use another app.

Yesterday, I was sleep deprived, and couldn’t form my words properly. The guy said to me he didn’t know what I was getting at a couple of times, even when I was talking about what happened in a movie he saw. I was so embarrassed. I think I will be ghosted.

Chalk it up to a learning experience.

God knows I’ve made my fair share of blunders. Ive been fairly forthright about my background, so you can imagine what app dates were like in the beginning lol

                Yikes, yep I can imagine.

Look, I’ve never met you in person, but based on your comments here, I can see how you’ve put in a lot of work to get to where you are today. It is really inspiring to see how you’ve built yourself back up, and I hope that one day, someone great can get to witness that too :)

That’s incredibly kind of you to say :)

                  It’s funny:

The difficult times are easy to deal with. But when you’re succeeding, or have something to celebrate, there’s definitely a sting that comes with it if as you say, there’s no witnesses.

No, it’s just kind of exhausting to meet people off apps. It’s like going on a blind date, except you have pictures of them and a little bit of chit chat.

I only wind up with women I’ve known for a year+ through hobbies or social circles. I don’t date well, I’m a bad salesman.
