Again I reiterate that attack helicopters are more crucial now more than ever since Ukraine has decisively made the distance defense for large fastjet airfields meaningless.

These UAVs are obviously best used to attack strategic targets not measly jets but the reality is undeniable, as a launch platform fighter-bomber jets are wildly vulnerable even when employed with western doctrine to continually scramble them over vast distances at many air fields, whereas rotary wing aircraft can operate and resupply out of your backyard.

No doubt extreme STOL/blown lift manned and unmanned aircraft will also play a crucial role in evolving tactics to this paradigm change.

    I like looking at the image that gets posted now and then of all the refineries, how large they are, how many times they’ve been hit, which ones haven’t been hit etc, knowing that the unhit ones are just begging to be hit.

    Hearing about another one getting hit is amazing.

    I really hope they’ve somehow cooked up another drone in land vehicle attack and are able to hit those ones that are many thousands of km away
