Also, does anyone know why Connect for Lemmy is highlighting almost every comment bright purple?
You can go to Settings -> Comment customisation -> Highlight new comments to get rid of the purple backdrop. However, it didn’t do this before with the setting enabled, so it seems like a bug to me…
