I realIze that anything I can say here that isn’t silply “hate the US” is likely to fall on deaf ears, or be wildly misinterpreted. Attacks on my person and assumptions on who I am, really? You know nothing about me, and so far none of the comments has been remotely close to reality.

I don’t condone the killing of inocent.

I am from Iran. I grew up there. I still have family there. When I became a parent. I took my family and left for Europe. So that my child would not have to suffer under a terrorist dictatorship.

My people, the people of Iran, is celebrating. Not because we are happy about war and death. But because thrte is finally hope for a life.

We have a saying that goes something like this. “When the tears run out, you sing!”

Show us a single example of when a US intervention made life better for people. What Americans want is to destroy Iran, and they’re not even hiding it https://youtu.be/ogt9g-rTa3o?t=376

If you want Iran to be turned into another Libya or Syria then you’re just piece of human garbage. Scum like you enables every western atrocity.

You are simply in denial and you are supporting a huge disaster because you are purposefully blind. Why is it that we were able to raise up and overthrow the corrupt and terrorist regime of the Shah and SAVAK on our own but now we are so helpless we require to be bombed, our families to be killed and our cultural sites to be destroyed to deal with the mullahs? How can you celebrate an evil, external occupying force that will do no good based on all the other examples of their interventions? Are you simply ignorant of the true motivations of the Americans or are you just lying to yourself? Are the people in Iraq better off? Afghanistan? East Timor? Guatemala? Haiti?

It’s an expat thing. People moving from their country usually have more negative connotations about it and are more likely fo justify their choice by joining the negative propaganda. I’ve seen people moving to my country praise things that they thought were great and different from their previous experience, but having lived here all my life I know it’s not that simple. So, don’t believe everything an expat is telling you, that’s what I mean

You’re willing to distract from the terror attacks on your own country by repeating the terrorists lies and slander. This is beyond depraved. Trying to relativize the death of an entire school of children is sickening and you should be ashamed.

Here is what your countrypeople think of you https://lemmy.ml/post/44100896
