I try my best to raise awareness of these things, because it is very obvious to me that the US is hurtling FAST towards extremist fascism, and I don’t believe either of the major parties is doing enough to stop it.
So many people on Lemmy want to stick their heads in the sand and play the same old team sports as usual, but we need to wake up and realize the team we are on is the working class, and the democrats and the republicans are both on the enemy side - the ruling class - and unless we wake up to the reality that we have been manipulated into vesting our trust and power in people who do not represent our interests, and actually start fighting for a better world on our own terms, we will all lose.
