I’ll go first. Franz Marc. I particularly like “Blaues Pferd I”. I love me some German expressionism.
Wassily Kandinsky. Lots of his works are centered around the idea that colors have “souls,” in fact he taught color theory at Bauhaus for a bit.
Goya
Cady Wells. He was a watercolor artist in New Mexico. He did truly different and amazing paintings of landscapes and buildings.

Ooh I like these!
these are haunting for some reason
I’ve always been fond of Paul Klee. Marc has grown on me, though. Fsck WW1 that killed so many of the blaue reiter gang.
Purely visual art probably Moebius. Sort of set the tone for a lot of art I like across all mediums.
Nice try recovery questions bot. I won’t fall for it by saying Sclub 7
Ain’t no party like an S Club party!
Was gonna say Enya but everyone is talking paintings. Escher it is, then.
I’m pretty basic. Van Gogh is top for me.
Mind you, Gonsalves ranks right up there along with Magritte and Monet.
I reckon you can guess what “schools” I tend to respond to most lol
I’ve always liked Van Gough’s work.
Last year I got to see his Sunflowers painting in person at the National Portrait Gallery in London. I didn’t even know it was there when I decided to go to that museum, it was a pleasant surprise.
