I have voip numbers in several countries since I have to travel a lot and I’m neither a scammer nor a corporation, though I realize I am the exception rather than the rule
“Oh… this was Hannah from the sandwich shop…”
They asked me if I’m an attorney general, and then asked if I’m an engineer
Can probably set up a chatGPT to talk to them for you, with some effort.
The YouTube channel Kitboga is hilarious (he messes around with scammers, wasting their time)
Recently I had something like this but in whatsapp haha.
The code was from India and it was so obvious they didn’t speak my language, the message was supposed to be about liking YouTube videos but translated to Spanish they used the meaning of “similar”, so instead of reading “you will like YT videos” it read “you will similar YT videos”.
(I don’t remember the exact words since I blocked and reported them :P)Reminds me of the r/scambait subreddit. I haven’t found a Lemmy equivalent for that yet.
Make one on Lemmy!
Did you use the national do not call list yet?
Better try the international do not call list, too
