The latest round of threats fits a familiar pattern: Trump faces a legal setback, and officials face threats.

In the 24 hours since the Colorado Supreme Court kicked former President Donald Trump off the state’s Republican primary ballot, social media outlets have been flooded with threats against the justices who ruled in the case, according to a report obtained by NBC News.

Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that conducts public interest research, identified “significant violent rhetoric” against the justices and Democrats, often in direct response to Trump’s posts about the ruling on his platform Truth Social. They found that some social media users posted justices’ email addresses, phone numbers and office building addresses.

“This ends when we kill these f–kers,” a user wrote on a pro-Trump forum that was used by several Jan. 6 rioters.

Ok so round them all up for the threats. We’re starting to run out of identified insurrectionalist let’s start sending these fucks to jail too. There is no way they don’t know who they are if 30 seconds of torrenting can lead to emails sent directly to me calling for me to stop if I forget my VPN. Those idiots don’t even know what VPN stands for.

Get a VPN with split tunneling , always on, and start on boot. Pair that with qbittorrent, which has a setting in the options to allow you to only use the VPN network. No more having to remember with that setup. Traffic won’t flow until the VPN connection is established, then torrent traffic will only go over the VPN, and the split tunnel means your regular traffic can remain off the VPN if you want.

Yeah you don’t even need to do the whole split VPN thing - unless you want to, that does seem kinda cool. You can just tether your bit torrent to only work when your VPN client connection is active. I’m new at this and was super easy to set up.

Nord fucking sucks though. Their client doesn’t actually do anything with split tunnelling, or didn’t when I last tried. It bugged out unity so it would flood the logs until all 64 gb of RAM was used and my computer would freeze. I had to open the program, disable split tunnelling then I could close the client and unity would work. Another thing that doesn’t work is being visible to LAN devices. Even with that on I can’t access my server, router, DNS, NAS or anything on my LAN. Also if that option is on and the client is closed and not even connected then it still won’t work until you open the client and disable that option. And I couldn’t get qbitorrent to bind to nord’s network adapter. I tried their proxy setup from their website instructions too and it just wouldn’t work. The torrents just would give an error because they couldn’t see the trackers.

I went to mullivad and their client just works as advertised. I had none of the above issues with mullivad’s client.

What VPN do you recommend? I’m just getting into torrenting myself, and this is how I was planning to run it, since I’ll be torrenting on my main PC for now

I’ve had good results with both Nord and Proton but if you’re going to pay for it I’d suggest proton because of the other benefits you get access to. If you want ‘the most anonymous’ then mullvad is the way to go, but I can’t say whether or not torrenting on mullvad is effective as I’ve not done that.

And yeah, just for anyone wondering. This is a violation of 18 USC § 875(d). Literally saying that about judges carrying out their duties is an actual violation of Federal law punishable by about a year in prison for first offense. Not to mention that it can be construed as obstruction of justice (if you live within the State), which carries it’s own penalties.

Charging people with the crimes they commit regardless of race or societal status is just too unamerican for our law enforcement.

Besides they won’t get that fascist dictatorship they want so bad if they don’t let these idiots slide

Nothing like people incited to violence making threats as a way to defend Trumps version that he didn’t incite a violent insurrection.

But now they think they’re being denied legal access to their own system so why would they care how we interpret events?

They need to be allowed to establish a separate country so everyone can live in peace again. It’s the only way.

        Lol what?

There are no empty spots for them to claim, and I highly doubt you can draw a line anywhere that would work. They tried that with India/Pakistan and it was an absolute cluster.

This isn’t like the civil war where it was regional. This is a lifestyle divide.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

In the 24 hours since the Colorado Supreme Court kicked former President Donald Trump off the state’s Republican primary ballot, social media outlets have been flooded with threats against the justices who ruled in the case, according to a report obtained by NBC News.

Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that conducts public interest research, identified “significant violent rhetoric” against the justices and Democrats, often in direct response to Trump’s posts about the ruling on his platform Truth Social.

Posts — whose images and links were included in the report — noted a variety of methods that could be used to kill those perceived as Trump’s enemies: hollow-point bullets, rifles, rope, bombs.

A federal appeals court pointed out the pattern when it upheld a narrowed gag order against Trump in his election interference case this month, noting that those he publicly targets are often threatened and harassed.

Daniel J. Jones, the president Advance Democracy, the group that compiled the report, said the consistency of the violent threats and rhetoric was especially concerning.

"Trump’s statements, which have sought to delegitimize and politicize the actions of the courts, is serving as a key driver of the violent rhetoric.

The original article contains 515 words, the summary contains 196 words. Saved 62%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Yeah, everyone knows you threaten them before the match.

But I guess it’s fitting for people that stage an insurrection after losing an election.
