I’m not sure, but you could probably revive it or build your own. All it really takes is a few active users to start a new community. I’m looking for a new project and wouldn’t mind helping you get this or another community off the ground.
Here are a couple of posts I found when looking for more information on the current state of Lemmy AMAs. They show community sentiment and past attempts to get started.
The mod is basically MIA…but did post there hoping for some feedback. Out of curiousity are you a mod or know about modding because I am looking for one to help me out at https://lemmy.world/c/amarequests
Not that I know of . Just looking for someone to help me with a banner or something and a side bar. And put requests on whoever like i did for poets and got the feed back so basically anything you come up with and post it and post questions you want answered.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !amarequests@lemmy.world

A ton of subreddit replacement communities were created around the time of Reddit’s API changes, and there simply weren’t enough users to keep them going.
nothing against you but damn has that been inactive for a while. What is with the users of lemmy?

It’s actually surprisingly easy to revive one if you give at least the minimum amount of effort required to be the only poster for a bit.
I’ve revived ones with zero posts for months.
Agreed. I also find that commenting and supporting good posts helps encourage more activity.

same here to be honest I have no clue how to mod or outfit the community. Don’t know if you can view past posts but was asking anyone to help me
I understand, I actually saw you talking about it the other day. I’ll burn out quickly this way though because it’s one-sided. Is there a better way?
