Why negotiate peace like an asshole when you could turn Ukraine into Cambodia instead?
Why turn Ukraine into Cambodia when you could just order your troops to go home instead…?
The whole wanting Ukraine as a buffer state doesn’t really make sense when you’re just annexing the buffer territory anyways.
Russia doesn’t want to annex Ukraine, and they have never stated as such. I don’t know where you people got confused.
Have you told them that? Because they have already officially annexed 4 different oblast…
Even if that were the case, this is not a reason to destroy millions of people more. People’s lives matter the most. Russia definitely does not kill anyone unarmed and does not torture in these territories. And Russia has stated many times that it does not want to seize the whole of Ukraine.
They haven’t, they are securing territory in a war, which isn’t annexation.
Lol, and America’s military is only used to spread freedom…
You guys are just pissing on each other and calling it rain.
Right, they’re even holding elections there!
They’re certainly not holding elections in Ukraine, but the regions under Russian control very much did have elections.
They’re over seeing elections held by a different government. I know you uke supporters hate facing reality but those are different countries now. Your guys did a genocide and the victims decided to be different countries instead of just dying.
Ukraine already violated the treaty and have been using antipersonnel mines, they must just be close to out of USSR leftover stock. Russia not being a party to the treaty have also been using them the whole time. This isn’t a very substantial change besides getting Biden’s fingers directly in another crime against humanity, dude just loves killing people
Even if these landmines become inert after a certain amount of time there’s still a nonzero chance civilians could be killed by them. I knew the US never signed the Ottawa treaty back in the day, but I didn’t know Russia has already been using landmines for the last two years of the conflict. I still don’t think landmines should be used at all.
