Satellite images of the aftermath of a drone attack on a plant in the Lipetsk region have emerged
On the night of May 23, the JSC Energia plant was attacked in Yelets. OSINT analysts from the Open Source Centre group published satellite images of the aftermath. “This facility is reported to manufacture batteries for Iskander missiles and glide bombs, and it sustained significant damage,” the report says.
Earlier, ASTRA wrote that as a result of the attack, one of the workshops caught fire, and 9 workers of the enterprise were injured. Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the plant: “A series of explosions was recorded. A fire broke out on the territory of the facility.”
On the night of May 24 , sirens were heard again in the Lipetsk region, local residents reported. The likely target of the attack could have been the same plant. Right now, air raid sirens are sounding again in the Lipetsk region. A red level “UAV attack threat” has been declared for the Yelets municipal district," the head of the region wrote.
The plant’s products are widely used in various sectors, including the defense industry, civil aviation, maritime transport and energy complex.
I am very impressed with the quality of Ukrainian intelligence. It seems like every week (or more) there’s publicity about yet another factory, warehouse, etc. somewhere in Russia that they have struck in one way or another.
