Now that’s just weird.
I use Arch based distros btw.
Now that’s just weird.
It’s mostly the people, not the services themselves. I guess the services don’t want to look anti-democracy and toxic lol. They have the “it’s fine unless I disagree” philosophy while promoting various “freedoms” (often including freedom of speech) which is definitely not meant for establishing literal minority supremacy.
I don’t even see a reason for proving this tbh. It’s something you have to see yourself to be sure and from my experience people who don’t see it are just highly delusional and deranged or something from that category. People that I know personally and that don’t struggle with severe mental illnesses (as those can cause comprehension issues obviously) do see this problem btw.
You only have to replace it if the disadvantages affect you. Usually they affect old hardware, specialist hardware and NVidia GPUs. If you have none of those, you should probably be fine.
That is not true.
how it happens will be managed well
That’s the thing. Fedora doesn’t manage it well. They just go first.
fedora does not have the lag, discontinuations?
Lag? And discontinuous of stuff like X11 and PulseAudio. They even tried to pass removal of 32 bit packages recently. It may not sound important for 64 bit systems but actually a lot of apps (especially proprietary ones) are in themselves 32 bit.
True and that’s why closed communities (women only, trans only etc) exist. But if a community presents itself as open, not broadcasting something does say something about its morality imo.
I don’t mean to fight but for clarification of everyone reading, you just seem to have said there are not worthwhile things (opinions)…
hate speech
That’s how you liberals suppress all other opinions. Everything is hate speech for you.
Religions are cults. No exceptions.
And here is the example.
I agree. Freedom of speech doesn’t exist on the “free” platforms. Nice to see that some sane people who notice it still exist.
Why Bazzite is not great imo:
Immutable structure creates difficulties for customization (more applicable to desktop systems than handhelds/custom consoles).
Fedora base means potential discontinuation of necessary components and slow package manager.
Why Arch is better:
Up to date packages without Fedora’s issues.
Support from gaming-related companies such as Valve.
This part was a joke after all.
I hate that. Arch better.
Because Fedora is a testing distro which gets rid of legacy stuff the first. I wouldn’t recommend it if you care tbh.
I don’t think Fedora users care about breakages ngl.
Yea this is a very unpopular opinion.
Not all distros ship SELinux and the ones that do, don’t actually configure it securely.
Convenience issues.
New users are expected to keep copying and pasting commands from their browsers to their terminal which compromises some Linux security defenses.
Everyone literally says not to do that, including popular content creators.
KDE, GNOME and Sway are the only functional Desktop Environments/Window Managers that support Wayland all, while the Other DEs are not even close to shipping with Wayland.
Wayland is massive and probably will never actually be finished. Also implementing it basically means rewriting the whole DE (not really but it’s a ton of work).
Most if not all of the Linux Distros in 2025 ship with Grub bootloader, which suffers from a lot of problems, instead of using the bootloaders that does not support BIOS and will improve the reliability of booting and provide a more stable experience.
That’s called “planned obsolescence”.
I highly disagree with the attitude of this comment (after all Linus allowed BCacheFS in and now complains about it) but necessary evil in itself is a valid thing for most people unfortunately.
Buckle up guys, we’re getting a brand new drama soon.
That looks like a Wayland issue to me tbh.
Wayland issue.
