You don’t like the exclusion of Russian developers?
I indeed do not. Any bias in development always hurts the quality of the project and reduces security.
I use Arch based distros btw.

I think it was fine before 2024. Last year Linus made a geopolitical decision and I think there was another incident but I can’t remember it now. Because of that I consider using custom kernels without such issues generally better.
The mainstream kernel is pretty evil now imo.
I think it’s good tbh.
Yea something like that is the only way nowadays.
For you everything anti-lgbt is toxic and for me everything about lgbt is toxic. Any questions?
That’s not really true btw but like how is that different to your point?
Are you really, completely sure that you are not the one being stubborn here?
I am stubborn too but there’s no point in talking to a stubborn person with an opposite opinion. The only thing it can cause is both sides being convinced that the other side is stupid.
Can you give me an example of non-toxic anti-lgbtq behavior?
Religion. That’s like the most obvious example possible.
They were extremely stubborn though. They are one of the “you agree or you’re toxic” fascists.
Legitimately how is that possible? Being anti-LGBT is inherently being toxic.
I think there’s no point in any further discussion with such stubbornness. I would like to use my right to prohibit interaction with me any further.
Have you considered perhaps that you’re simply more aligned with their (right-wing ranging to outright fascist) opinions?
I am more aligned with their views indeed. But it doesn’t change how FOSS networks lie about themselves and are very leftist. I guess Facebook and them are just opposite.
Facebook as a company was literally doing stuff like censoring #democrats
Idk about that but they’re at least claiming to be removing censorship so let’s see how it goes (not too well so far).
and started being openly hostile to LGBT people days ago.
Hostile? Exaggerated in my opinion. I support letting anti-LGBT and other anti- people speak in a not toxic way. The problem is people who lose special benefits over others in cases like this always tend to exaggerate and say that they’re threatened which is pretty ridiculous. If Facebook really is just banning LGBT members though, that is too much.
And you say they can deal with people who think differently?
Not really but this is how FOSS networks (Revolt and Lemmy in particular) made me be so like I’m not sure who’s at fault here and it’s not really the topic anyways.

Yea I’m definitely getting warned for going offtopic here. Though I suspect I’m always the only one, even when the other person starts it. That’s another issue of Lemmy and Mastodon.
Close.
Well fyi I am proud of my opinions so why wouldn’t I?
Well Facebook is the only platform to allow my political opinions so I do have a sweet spot in my heart for it. But the decision is weird indeed.
I saw some cheap laptops with Ubuntu in a local mall and on them the latency on Wayland was unbearable.
Well a lot of stuff for Linux is reverse engineered and some is just copied (WindowsFX, ElementaryOS etc). Kali Linux is also a thing.
Hmm that’s weird. I mean, we have a lot of copyright infringement and piracy here in the Linux world but I’m not sure if that’s the right way of handling it. I guess Facebook hasn’t grown up enough in terms or free speech yet.
Even though putting AI anywhere is a terrible decision, I think Fedora is the best place for it in terms of Linux distros. You need quite up to date packages to work with AI efficiently and some stability too.
