It doesn’t take a lot of tech skill to be an exec for a tech company. My guess is they fall into the same category as those that see the AI overview on Google and think “wow this is so much better” and never second guess the results.
Yeah, but some people didn’t opt into it. I’ve worked on a lot of new construction in my state and they buy these appliances for every new apartment complex they build. I know people could choose a different apartment, but most people don’t have any other option and saying “no” to a decent apartment because of a refrigerator isn’t a luxury people can afford.
Back in like the late 2010s it was an old coworker of mine. He came in two years after i started and swooped in and took the promotion I was gonna get because he went to highschool with my bosses daughter. I’d be more mad at the boss but this guy was absolutely insufferable about it and would boast about it literally every day and talk about how awesome he was. Would always talk about how amazing he was at his job but would crack under pressure pretty much every time. He was also one of those guys that’s nice to your face but talks mad shit when you leave the room. Huge “fuckboy” energy too and always felt like he was entitled to everything. He was the kinda guy that would try to fuck your ex girlfriend the day you broke up yet still be friendly to your face. And I know that because my ex told me about it after the fact. Bro straight up sent her a request on Snapchat and Facebook out of the blue within a week after only meeting her once before.
Glad I don’t work with that guy anymore and that I have a much better job. That guy lives rent free in my head and I fucking hate that he does.
Even the kids that say it don’t even take it that seriously and are 100% aware that it is just brainrot, at least from what I have seen. Although, I do still enjoy saying “sixty seven” to my nephew whenever it comes up.
Don’t worry guys, they’re only putting these AI cameras in literally every city and doing it in shady ways without anyone knowing. And false flags like this happen very frequently.
This is purely anecdotal, but I have been running into a lot of DNS issues over the past couple months where I work. 3 of the computers and even one of the laptops for remote work were having DNS issues that needed to be fixed. One even needed Windows reinstalled after fixing the DNS issue (Which was probably unrelated, but worth mentioning)
I’m honestly starting to think that the internet in general might be imploding. Not sure why, but replacing so many developers and programmers with AI might be responsible. Who knows, but it’s definitely very strange.
There is no reason for a camera to ever be in a bathroom for any reason. And no matter what reason they can come up with there will always be a downside that is substantially worse.

I was hanging out on some conservative forums when the news came out and almost universally people were pissed saying it’s an overreaction to what they call the “overreach during COVID.” And I’m sitting there reading these comments and thinking to myself that these people are so anti Democrat and anti “woke” that they seemingly have selectively forgotten that this is exactly what people were warning them about. They were legitimately surprised that this has happened and were in denial that this administration would do something like this.
These are the people that we are up against. They are ignorant and so angry at Democrats that they will literally forget that they were warned about this exact scenario. And the reason I bring this up is because they are ignorant, but they are not universally stupid and can actually think for themselves when given the chance. And we should use opportunities like this to educate them instead of saying “haha you get what you voted for.”
Well, you should have a problem with it but not for the reasons you think. Any invasion of privacy is an issue when the people in control get to decide what is a reportable offense without explicitly telling you. I get it, you definitely shouldn’t be admitting anything illegal or asking illegal advice from a chat bot. You shouldn’t be doing anything that is illegal in the first place.That’s basically the same as googling how to make a bomb and if you’re that dumb you’ll get what’s coming to you. The issue arrives when you look at the bigger picture. If they have the ability to report anything they want to the police, what’s stopping them from releasing anything they want to anyone they want at any time? And when it comes to those receiving the data that’s been reported, what proof do you have that these entities have yours or anyone else’s interests or safety in mind? What if they decide to change the rules on what they should report, they don’t tell you, and then retroactively flag a bunch of your conversions with said LLM.
It’s the same kinda situation that we face with these AI cameras that track us and our vehicles literally everywhere we go. There have already been multiple cases where people in law enforcement were using these tools to stalk people like ex girlfriends. All this is putting a lot of trust into people that none of us even know and expect them to have the best of intentions. What would stop them from reporting that you asked ChatGPT about the current situation in Gaza?
And our mass shooting events are pretty low when you don’t count bigoted white men.
It would help if you actually went to the areas that have high crime and not just where the cameras can see them. If this was about crime it’s not like you don’t have the data to go find it.

Take a step back from the fascism, human rights violations, kidnappings, and concentration camps and just think about the fact that these people are in charge of the government. Regardless of politics, these people are just objectively stupid and have virtually no understanding of anything outside of knowing how to give speeches and spread propaganda.
I know things are bad and will continue to get worse before they get better, but I do take some solace in the fact that these people are so incredibly stupid that they will never be able to run a productive or efficient government. It’s like watching as your boss makes his son a manager and seeing everything go to shit around him.
They’re trying to have a life but you and your buddies are trying to make it as difficult as humanly possible.
I hate both of them as much as the next guy, but that’s the funniest shit I’ve read all day.
