  • I like flavored coffee on occasion. We have two grinders, the slightly lower quality one gets all the flavored beans, they never go into the good grinder.

That said, I got a handful of flavors recently to share with friends. I like to bring our espresso machine glamping, I set it up on a table under a tarp next to our tent, with a 100 foot cord running to a small generator.

When I got home, I tried mixing a little bit of each flavor together. 5 flavors,a few beans from each. It was honestly terrible. Far worse than any individual flavor by itself. It wasn’t unique or interesting, it was bad, and I’ll never do it again 🤷‍♂️

Edit: That said, while I would never put flavored beans in the flavor free grinder, as a matter of principle… I’ve never noticed a problem when changing from one flavor to another in the flavored grinder. So I doubt the grocery store grinder would affect the flavor that much 🤷‍♂️

  • Thanks! It’s just a collection of random stuff, all probably too heavy haha.

Onewind 11ft hammock with ridgeline and built in net , along with their underquilt.

I didn’t purposely get that brand, I actually bought those things separately and spaced out. They just had the cheapest price with the best reviews. So far I’m super happy, with the hammock especially.

The rainfly is some cheap thing, but it’s light enough and it works. My favorite thing though is the rainfly snake. It’s a thin lightweight tube that goes over the rainfly, you can see it in the picture there hanging above my ridgeline. That’s my entire rainfly, hidden in there. That way I can see the stars at night, but if rain moves in I can easily hop out, slide off the snake skin, stake down the corners, and go back to bed.

  • Thanks! Was this last weekend, so definitely enjoyed it.

Unfortunately someone, somewhere down the river, packed in a big speaker and played music. I’m not a killjoy, do what you want, within reason. But keep that crap turned down, and turn it off after say, 11? Midnight? I got up to use the bathroom at 3am and they were still at it. I didn’t hear them in the morning, but they started again around 9 or 10am before we broke camp.

Thankfully it was far enough away that you could ignore it pretty easily. But everyone we talked to on the trail the next day was annoyed by it.
