Is it too much to ask for a sock to be of normal thickness and to last at least 4 wears without getting holes?

$15 socks are not much better than $2 socks.

I had https://www.aust-woollenmills.com/ and https://brucegoose.com.au/ recommended recently while looking for socks. I went with brucegoose and was disappointed that the stripey socks are significantly tighter than plain of the same size, but otherwise the socks are holding up fine.

I’ve had success with macpac socks. They have them for hiking and also regular thickness ones if you don’t like bulky socks

Work socks! Not great if you have tiny feet like mine, but still better than thin socks.

Gone are the days of getting holes in your socks.
