Jesus fucking Christ… I just had this poor nurse ring me from the hospital, she’s been running around the hospital for 20 minutes looking for my MIL. She checked with security and finally found out that the security guard just let her out and she got in a cab! This poor nurse was beside herself, having to call and tell me they’d literally lost her, and wanted to know if she should call the police! I thought, if she’s got in a cab she should be just about here, so I go to the front window and here she is, doddling up the driveway! Apparently she got sick of waiting to see a Dr (they are very busy, when is a hospital not busy!) and just left. The security guard just let her walk out and asked if she wanted a cab and pointed to one and she got in it. She was in her nightie and dressing gown and grippy sock slipper things. Unbelievable! The poor nurse! At least I was able to tell her that she’d arrived home. Fucking hell. Mr P is furious and I’m pissed off with her too, the worry she caused that poor nurse. And complaining and moaning about public hospitals and the narrow bed. Okay she didn’t see a doctor when she thought she should’ve, but at least you’re being monitored and cared for in the meantime and if anything had happened she was in the right place. She took offence that a big “footballer looking bloke” came in and was seen by a doctor pretty much straight away.

      Very naughty of MIL.

When my ol’ girl was in, literally anyone could walk in and out no questions asked. No guard. Felt odd just walking in. Was thinking at the time that surely a patient has just upped and left and no one would know.

      Hope she’s feeling better.

That is not an ideal way to start your day (or end your night for that matter). Hope you get some physical and mental rest today.

hugs, that was very worrying for everyone, is MIL even aware ?

and grr at the guard who let out an old lady who was dressed for bed, it would seem to me that she was exactly the kind of patient he should be alert about
