I think it dates back to the 2020 primary campaign where she ran as a spoiler for the left. She rushed to be the first to declare candidacy, she tried to accuse Bernie Sanders* of defaming her and to cause a rift between her campaign and his, she stayed in the race when everyone else was dropping out, which was clearly a collusion to peel off voter share from Bernie while everyone else was endorsing Biden.

*Who then proceeded to not run in 2024, take a whole bunch of compromised positions especially on the first year of the Gaza extermination campaign, and do a few nothingburger “fighting oligarchy” rallies and tours that don’t even attempt to leverage any power.

There are plenty more examples of Warren being disingenuous and flimsy on progressive positions. On consumer protections and anti-monopoly stances she’s pretty good, but doesn’t amount to more than a machine politician outside of that.

If someone is going to be a successful progressive politician, they’d better take principled socialist stances, stick to them, and fight for them. Otherwise we just get an endless string of Obamas who defise radical movements, triangulate with the Republicans, and eventually their entire legacy is overturned by the next Republican administration.

This is how “ratchet politics” works.

“The hour’s top story, our glorious freedom fight in Iran is going well, and Dear Leader’s bravery will bring peace everywhere!” – The Media, probably

  • Things are looking up… for Iran.

I am not asking for much, I just want the US to lose to Iran even more decisively and quickly than it lost to Afghanistan, and for Tel Aviv to look like Rafah today.

It is tricky to translate since it is not in Standard Arabic. It basically contrasts the sorry state of the Arab World at the mercy of the US with North Korea’s resilient and heroic opposition to the US. Here’s a translation:

If only I were North Korean,

Standing tall, my head held high.

            Embarrassing that fool Bush,

Crushing his head beneath my sandals.

If only I were North Korean,

            Never yielding, never wavering,

            Never once showing cowardice,

Never bowing in humiliation or compromise.

My head as firm as the mountains.

If only I were North Korean,

            Saying with a thunderous voice:

“We do not fear you, you deluded one.

            Do whatever you wish —

You don’t know the men you’re facing.”

If only I were North Korean,

Never once in his life did he submit,

Never allowed his palace to be searched,

His hands and waist never trembled,

And he twisted the ropes with confidence.

If only I were North Korean,

Saying: “I have a reactor for you,

            Producing thousands of bombs,

With range reaching all the way to New York,

            You fool, son of fools.”

If only I were North Korean,

I’d burn you in the middle of your home —

You and everyone who joined your war.

            Don’t think I’m Mubarak,

Nor am I Saddam in my foolishness.

If only I were North Korean,

The Arabs are a strong nation,

            But their zeal betrayed them,

            Ignorance slaughtered them,

And their foundation became people of foolishness.

If only I were North Korean,

If we had walked upon the path of Islam,

We would not have been defeated nor lost,

By God’s will we would have triumphed,

            And gained honor and beauty.

If only I were North Korean…

            Oh, North Korean…

Sen. Angus King, the independent from Maine, said it’s “very disturbing” that Trump took the U.S. to war because Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to bomb Iran. Past U.S. presidents, he said, “have consistently said, ‘No.’” Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii said the briefing left him with more questions than answers… While presidents have the authority as the commander in chief to conduct certain strategic military operations on their own, the Constitution vests Congress with the power to wage war. Before the Iraq War began in March 2003, Republican President George W. Bush made a monthslong push to secure congressional authorization. No such vote was attempted on Iran, and an earlier Senate effort to halt Trump’s actions after last summer’s strike on Iran failed.

Failed states are often performing well for a small group. But Failed states are performing really bad for the vast majority of the population.

It’s a failed democracy / humane state. It’s doing wonderfully as a dictatorship. The rich are profiting quite a bit off this I’m sure.

So, the President DOESN’T have the authority as commander in chief to conduct certain strategic military operations on their own, according to this “constitution” guy.

He’s a moron, Presidents do this all the time. IN YOUR FACE CONSTITUTION

You see boys and girls, if you want to take Putin out of the Kremlin and control all Soviet oilfields, this is how you do it. Start from Venezuela, then Iran, Russia will fall in less than one year seeing the effort NATO has already put in over the years to break up the Soviet Union. Then China will be the last one standing before we run over Shanghai.

Had Liz Warren come in behind Bernie in 2020, we would have stood a chance stopping the party from ordaining Genocide Joe, even with their cheating. Instead she lied and said he secretly revealed how sexist he is to only her, and the neolib media shouted it from the hilltops. And now we have Trump again because the guy who came in 5th before the party rigged the election for him was never viable to be reelected. Heckuba job, Warrie!

The problem is the President shouldn’t be ABLE to say yes or no. It’s not their call.

      The Founders, supposedly

(someone always abuses power, that’s why we have checks and balances. supposedly)

Imagine giving standing applause to your political opponent for genociding millions for overthrowing the evil regime ™ only to be desperately less down when you find out that he’s gonna fuck it up as usual.

At this point it might be better if the US goes in without a plan as having one didn’t seem to work out the last 50+ military conflicts.

I was under the impression that he declared war on brown people with no fucking plan whatsoever because he’s racist, under the false impression that being at war means he can stay in office no matter what (despite his entire life being filled with counterexamples), and him trying to distract from his close ties with and probable crimes as a child rapist.

I actually don’t know how it could be worse
