I knew about common heath, helmeted honeyeater and Leadbeater’s possum as state emblems, but there are apparently lots more. I’m not sure why we need so many, but we also have a state fossil, a state mineral, a state marine animal and a state tartan!
If we are going for a “more is better” approach what other State Emblems should we add?
What about a hat? Or a costume? Or a food? The last one would start a fairly active debate I suspect!
A State Beverage would definitely be strongy debated!

Wouldn’t it be Wanker Coffee? I would accept that.
I think that’s based on an assessment about the drinker, rather than being a stable type of drink. Which means it is possibly better classed as a state stereotype, the Coffee Wanker.
