Disturbing reports continue to emerge about mass graves in Gaza in which Palestinian victims were reportedly found stripped naked with their hands tied, prompting renewed concerns about possible war crimes amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes, the UN human rights office, OHCHR, said on Tuesday.

So maybe I missed something but the report doesn’t make it really clear who is to blame for the mass graves or when they were made.

So at this point this could’ve been Hamas or Israel, right?

Any side could be committing genocide, it could be the ones that have completely flattened acres of homes and fly planes to kill civilians or it could be the ones fleeing their land, we just don’t know

lol if that’s your best rebuttal, a blatant false framing of context as if Hamas are these pleasant freedom fighters with no blood on their hands… Then you don’t have much. Tell me, have you even heard what they did on October 7th?

If you perceive Hamas as innocent freedom fighters then you’re naive and duped.

I’m no fan of Israel either. But don’t pretend Hamas wouldn’t do the same if they had the means, and hasn’t done terrible things to its own people.

Did you know that the prisoner-per-capita ratio in the US is higher than both Russia and China? In fact, the total number of incarcerated people (ie people in prisons and jails) in the US is 2.25 million. In Russia that number is 433,006 and in China it’s estimated at 1.7 million.

          Combined that’s 2.13 million.

Those two “worse” countries combined don’t have as many people incarcerated people as the US.

ISIS fights against all America’s enemies. Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya…

Thankfully israel funds ISIS by buying their oil. And ISIS decided to attack Iran, Syria and now even Russia! Very convenient people!

It’s weird your source is saying Israel was mostly buying ISIS oil, while the FT article they heavily draw from actually says most of it was coming out of Kurdish territories, with the funds being used for Peshmerga forces fighting against ISIS

Taking all reporting into account it looks like all the produced oil going through Turkish traders with nobody down the chain caring who they’re funding

The oil is extracted from Dir A-Zur in Syria and two fields in Iraq and transported to the Kurdish city of Zakhu in a triangle of land near the borders of Syria, Iraq and Turkey. Israeli and Turkish mediators come to the city and when prices are agreed, the oil is smuggled to the Turkish city of Silop marked as originating from Kurdish regions of Iraq and sold for $15-18 per barrel

It passes hands a few times to avoid direct links. Someone traced it back. Came from ISIS.

You’re pretty delusional if you think every drop of oil can be traced back in such an active conflict. You should read up on more sources and you’ll see everyone was buying cheap oil from the intermediaries. You could say Assad was funding ISIS with Russian support, but it’s a pretty useless statement once you know where it comes from

Isn’t it obvious? Genocide. They want to be the next US, Australia, or Canada. Kill all the natives, or enough to make them not a threat anymore, and take all the land for themselves. Only difference we’re supposed to know not to do that anymore.

I think it’s mostly vengeance rage, they think the Hamas attack on civilians allow them to use any means to find the Hamas soldiers, including killing civilians. While some extremist parties may covertly push for actual genocide, I don’t think that’s what the military tries to do in general.

I see where people might think that if you’re just looking at the immediate context from the October 7th attacks, but I urge you to look into the conditions Palestinian people had been living under for decades, especially in Gaza. Rather than vengeance, when you look into the history, the October 7th attacks feel more like an excuse to go full throttle into carrying out what the Israeli government and hardcore Zionists already been trying to do for a while now.

Additionally worth remembering that the normalization process was nearing its conclusion by October, Israel was well on the path to buying off all of its neighbors and achieving total regional cooperation in the next Nakba.
