      You’d think the answer would be extremely obvious three months away from the laws taking effect.

      They have indicated the following:

      [eSafety’s engagement, compliance and enforcement priorities] will focus on platforms where there is the highest risk, considering factors such as the level of use by Australians under 16 combined with the presence of features and functions associated with the harms that the restrictions aim to prevent.

      I think Lemmy (and reddit) meet the definition of the type of social media they want to age restrict. At least in Lemmy’s case, it would be extremely unlikely to become a priority for enforcement if it ever is.

      This is such bullshit btw… notice how they’re doing nothing about gambling ads and alcohol ads.
