    Job offer has been rescinded after reference checks (which were glowing) because they didn’t feel one of my skillsets is strong enough - never mind that they didn’t even advertise for it and it was only lightly touched on in the interview process. Honestly feel relieved, albeit a little bit angry. Definitely got bullet dodged vibes.

      Who does that? Consider everything before making the offer. Very sloppy, sounds like you dodged a bullet.

        Absolutely dodged a bullet tbh. Had some unsure vibes to start with but was willing to take the chance because I need to make some changes!

      I had that where a place asked for references then said they went with someone else with more industry experience. And I was just thinking “you knew that already, you have both our resumes.”

      There is never any consideration on how much the interview process can be a waste of time for the candidate
