While I cannot assume I know jerkface’s stance, what they may be saying is that it is not great to equate pedophilia and child molestation because many pedophiles seek professional and personal interventions based on their attractions. Often, they take severe measures to keep themselves away from children because they do not want to hurt said children. Saying all pedophiles are child molesters disincentivizes people from seeking help from psychological and medical professionals when they may most need it. Thanks for listening. Cheers.
