After immigrants are detained by ICE, there are probably records somewhere of who has an attorney, and who is calling family members or an attorney.

For the immigrants who aren’t calling any family or lawyers, the poorest of the poor, people with little to no connection to anyone, who may not even say which country they are from, if the administration were actually trying to kill as many disconnected immigrants as possible in secret, would society know?

For example, if the administration was composed of all types of conservative people, but 30 percent were secretly Nazis or wanted racial genocide, could there be a campaign to not just remove, but kill, immigrants, and the public doesn’t find out?

I would have thought it possible but I reckon that most of them stay in touch with family and friends back home or in the states, so there’d be a big international outcry if people were suddenly getting radio silence from their friends rounded up by ice.

But ICE could also feasibly take away their phones - anyone know if they do this? Again, as far as I know, they don’t.

If they’re prisoners, then slave labor is legal under the 13th Amendment. I think that’s the ultimate outcome. Imagine how much more profitable American corporations could be with free labor, like before the Civil War.

We were supposed to be worried about Brown people taking our jobs, but we really have to be worried about Federally-managed slaves taking our jobs instead.

That’s right, because THAT’S the LAW. We don’t throw it out because the bad guys won’t follow it, because that’s STUPID.

Does your country throw out the law because there are criminals who refuse to follow it? Do you just say “What’s the point of having laws, if a few won’t follow them? I guess the solution is to have NO LAW AT ALL?” Of course not. You FORCE the law breakers to follow the law, OR ELSE.

That’s what we want, for MAGA to follow the Constitution like every other administration for the last 250 years. And if they won’t, we’ll FORCE them to.

Yep. And if you think they will stop with brown people, Martin Nemoller might have a thing or two to say. Once our elections go full Russia they’ll come door to door for the guns. Every dictator disarms the population. Every dictator has labor camps. Every dictator has death squads. They will have lists of agitators, enemies of the state, and domestic terrorists. Trump has already talked about depopulating the US by 100 million people.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see this comment slid across an interrogation table at me one day.

You don’t give up your gun when they show up and not only will they all get automatic weapon boners until you’re dead, you will be labeled a domestic terrorist and family will be punished. You will be LUCKY if your loved ones simply get chained to a drone factory. Worst case?? Wives and daughters become comfort women.

Please… please… tell me I’m crazy and that this isn’t the North Korea hellscape we’re headed for.

They are already building Concentration Camps around the country, supposedly to temporarily house the immigrants they want to deport. But what happens to those Camps, and this wealthy, nearly untouchable agency when they’ve accomplished their immigration goals? Is it realistic to think that MAGA would surrender that power? Or will they expand it, and expand their mission?

Ita becoming clear that the ultimate goal is to create a population of slaves, which then can be forced to provide free labor for American corporations under the 13th amendment, boosting the economy and their profits, making their stock prices increase for those Sociopathic Oligarchs whose money is tied up in stock. Bringing back slavery is their ultimate goal, and the 13th Amendment gives that to them. They just need prisoners, and pretty soon, EVERYTHING will be illegal, and EVERYBODY is a potential criminal, and thus, a potential slave.

Trump has already talked about depopulating the US by 100 million people.

I’m pleased to see this, not a lot of people know about this, but he was actually saying that he had been speaking with Stephen “PeeWee Himmler” Miller, and it was Peewee Himmler who said we should reduce the population TO 100 million people, and that they should look like him (God forbid). That would be about a 70% reduction in population from the current 335 million. It would be interesting to hear how PeeWee Himmler plans to accomplish his dream.

I think before this is nightmare is over we will be measuring death tolls in multiples of the Holocaust. It really is time to leave if you can. The midterm elections will be the fulcrum point. In November they will know if they ever have to worry ever being voted out again.

It’s literally the fucking Confederacy. The civil war never ended for them. They hid in plain sight for a century and a half. How many people know that the “GOP” stands for “Grand Old Party”? They stopped calling themselves Republicans 30 years ago. We all think this coup is a sudden thing. Yeah… the frogs are just now feeling the water get hot.

The next step is punishment. Plain and simple.

I think you are 100% right on every count, especially about the Midterms being the “fulcrum point.” Whatever happens in November, America will change greatly as a result, and it’s future path will be set. If Democrats win, it will be the start of taking our country back, and crushing and purging MAGA from our government and our society. The American people will accept nothing less from our Democratic losers, I mean “leaders.”

But if MAGA prevails, the future of America is going to be a giant prison slave labor force managed by a Trump corporation.

I’m getting old, and I have come around to the idea that my life may have a twist ending it wasn’t expecting. In fact, I have come to believe that dying in my sleep as an old man would be a waste. If America goes full MAGA, and Democracy ends, I will not be cooperative.

I’m not going down in a blaze of glory, however. I have people very close to me that I love more than life, and they are members of very vulnerable groups that MAGA hates, and will eventually be on their hit lists. If ANYTHING were to happen to any of them, I’m going to become a very dangerous person indeed.

Again, I won’t go down in a blaze of glory, I will be much more cautious and surgical about it. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I think this is probably happening too. They aren’t being transparent at all and they’re blocking any oversight by the few representatives that are trying to get access to the for profit death camps. I think it’s going to get way worse. All of our representatives are Israeli assets so it’s no coincidence that we’re starting to look like occupied Gaza.

Despite the best efforts of the Biden administration, there were still more than 1000 children who were victims of Stephen “PeeWee Himmler” Miller’s Family Separation Policy who had not been reunited with their families, and likely never will be. I tried to find out what happened to those kids, and couldn’t find anything, and nobody seems to be looking for them.

I suspect that the pretty ones have been sold into sex slavery, the compliant ones are house slaves, and the rest were sent on nature hikes in the Everglades.

And they’re doing it all again. Splitting up families, and gathering the kids together. Few people have less ability to resist avarice than Trump. After his long, close friendship with Epstein, nobody is more aware of the fact that few products are as valuable among the wealthy as a pretty teenage girl, and without Epstein around, the International Oligarch Pedophile Circuit needs a new leader, and Trump is in the perfect position to supply as much product as the market demands.

I highly doubt he can resist the urge; he certainly hasn’t shown any past inclination to reign in his worst impulses.

This is what I came here to post, and no! There’s ~50 billion in fresh funding burning a hole in ICE’s pocket, purchase orders for camps very much including infrastructure for the handling of remains, and published quotas impossible to meet any other way though!

To be precise: there is no record of what happened to ~1600 of the “detainees” who went through that camp. They were booked in but not out. Not held, released, or deported. Just gone.

My concern is that there is enough documentation on who isn’t calling people, who has no connection to anyone…

If there were racist genocidal people within the system and they were able to recognize each other (via tattoos, memberships) and then assign each other to certain duties, if certain people were put into cargo planes and dumped over the ocean, I’m not sure anyone would know.

It’s very hard for detainees to communicate with anyone in places like that if the detainee doesn’t have money or anyone willing to accept a call. If someone who was a racist genocidal person was put in charge of putting people into groups (based on lawyers, family contact, etc), people who were completely disconnected could be put into a unique group, put in a certain part of a facility, and flown in cargo planes together.

I just don’t know how likely this is. CECOT is a facility that holds people in a way that many international organizations would consider torture. If people were being killed in there, including people deported by the USA, I am very sure people would not know.

If we don’t know where 1200 people who were previously detained have gone as a society, and if there’s no record of where they were sent, it’s hard to fathom the state didn’t kill them, although I don’t know.

I’m very ignorant on all of this. 25% was just a randomly chosen number. But what about 10% or 5%? I just don’t entirely understand the purpose of making immigrants being deported untrackable unless the point is to make it easier to kill them, because if the purpose was just to make it harder to legally contest deportation, the system could just be very slow but have slow tracking built into it… but it doesn’t have that, right? I really don’t know the answers to any of this.

    Possible, but highly unlikely.
For starters, if that many were killed, I think it’d be really hard to keep a lid on it these days.

Secondly, I’ve done a lot of reading on the atrocities of WW2, and two immediate constraints come to mind:

    • Bodies. While possible, disposing of that many bodies without anyone noticing will be really hard.
    • The gas chambers of ww2 were only planned during the Wannsee conference in 1942, long after the holocaust actually started. The gas chambers were built because the original plan was not sustainable: People killing other people at an industrial scale. No matter how vile a person is, the human mind was not built to deal with having to mow down swathes of humans with a gun. Even the worst SS troops largely couldn’t deal with killing that many defenseless people, even if they were convinced it was “for the greater good”. The amount of SS troops who ended up unable to continue due to the mental after effects is staggering.

A lot of the times our hospital security show up to my deescalation classes after leaving a job in corrections. One of the things we often commiserate on is that they got into corrections and I into the state hospital to try and help other people grow and heal but what happened is that we got caught in a loop of “what am I going to see next that I’m going to have to report?” I’m now working for a psych unit in a regular hospital which still has it’s flaws but none comparable to the state.

First you see a patient spit in the face of a staff member who has to be physically held back from hitting them (they actually told us we’re allowed to restrain our coworkers if that happens), then you see a staff member get called racial slurs and they get up in the patients face and yell at them and you have to get between them and tell your coworker to take a walk but it’s hard to get them to do that because it’s 2am and there’s no other techs on the unit and they know the nurse isn’t gonna come out to help you before it’s too late. And those reactions make sense and you wonder why they’re packing you in with so many patients that your coworker can’t just walk away. And then you see somebody posture and yell at a patient who’s just all around rude but again it’s 2am and you can’t make it to 7 with just one tech.

And you also know that you’re going to need to choose the moment that it’s too much and that’ll be the end. Because if you stay after that you become the “them” in the “us vs them” and one day you’re going to face a violent patient at 2am and the tech who’s with you will leave you alone with that patient because “I don’t want you to report me too.”

And if you’re smart, you get out before it gets that far. One day a nurse asked me what I’d seen happen and I told them (truthfully) that I’d been at lunch and had no idea what they were talking about and they cut the conversation off. And I had no idea what patient or staff member it would’ve been about (as far as I could tell all of the patients were the same as before I’d gone to lunch) so I couldn’t have reported anything anyway. But I had to ask myself if I had seen something what would I have been asked to cover up?

I said that to that hospital security worker coming from corrections and there was this instant look of recognition. Anybody who’s worked corrections or for the state will tell me something similar happened to them, or worse. And I just… You either get out or something awful happens. I’m so grateful I was able to get out before I personally got pulled into something. You think you’ll be able to be different but that system is just so much bigger than you. And it’s not because I’m a better person it was luck. Part of it was luck that I had enough formal and informal education to know what was coming but some of it was pure grace of the universe luck.

And people who are outside of it living their happy lives will tell you they want a better system, but they will never truly be willing to put in the work needed to change it or even give you the resources to do it yourself. Like I’d been a patient at that state hospital previously and went back as a staff member to try and help and being a staff member was just so much worse somehow. I’m grateful that it gave me the experience to do what I do now and be an authority / teacher in the management of violent patients but it was hell while it was happening (I was also in therapy for other stuff at the time and was sooo fortunate to be given that opportunity to properly contextualize the experience as it was happening). No one who’s never been through that will ever really understand.

It’s not just the SS, the Wehrmacht also “suffered” from having to shoot all these people. Read up on Babij Jar, Ukraine. Even Himmler is on record expressing sympathy for his killers. That’s why the bullet based plan turns into a gas based one. Because it’s “easier” to flip a switch on a room full of people than to shoot naked people to fall on other corpses already in the ditch.

Both are probably true. Not many classes teach about how badly the Nazis felt; while I’m sure many of them, especially the lower ranks, suffered immense mental trauma - you really can’t explain that without sounding a bit like a sympathizer.

Maybe I’m the weird one, but it doesn’t make much sense to me to be unable to talk about them experiencing mental trauma for what they’re doing without being able to separate the fact that it doesn’t make them sympathetic or absolve them of the crimes. Life is way too complicated to try and simplify things like that.

I felt the same way a year or two back when some story broke about an IDF soldier who committed suicide because of what they did to Palestinians. I can recognize that it would absolutely cause an immense toll on their psyche but also say that they deserved to feel that bad for it, though I’m not gonna celebrate the suicide personally

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Blokhin

Blokhin was selected for the position by Joseph Stalin in 1926 and led a company of executioners that performed and supervised numerous mass killings in the Soviet Union during Stalin’s reign, mostly during the Great Purge and Eastern Front of World War II.[1] Blokhin is recorded as having executed tens of thousands of prisoners by his own hand, including his killing of about 7,000 Polish prisoners of war during the Katyn massacre in spring 1940, making him the most prolific official executioner in recorded world history.[1][2][3] Blokhin was forced into retirement in 1953 after the death of Stalin and condemned during de-Stalinization shortly before his death in 1955.

They’re already using military cargo planes for “deportation” flights. Maybe some don’t have any live passengers, and they just dump the bodies mid-ocean. No need for mass graves, just load cargo containers onto a cargo plane and off it goes. If it lands with one or two fewer than it started with, that’s just a paperwork issue.

If the Trump thugs act this badly on the streets then how horribly much worse do you think people are being treated I’m these secret detention facilities completely hidden from public view? This IMO will be seen as one of the worst chapters of our country once all the truth comes out.

I’m not sure that your second point is still a constant, though this is just an opinion and I’m open to discussion on this. They seem to have solved the problem of people not being up to mass killings, through desensitization through social media (I’m thinking of telegram groups specifically). There have been a lot of cases shown recently of people taking outright glee in their and others’ grotesque murders, en masse.

Actively, no. But part of the camps is intentional neglect like thermal insulation in the housing, pack of blankets, poor material quality, pest infested bedding, no screens to stop mosquitoes, etc. The lack of protections means increased mortality and morbidity for the captured.

Since they currently house a few thousand in different centers the likelihood of a quarter of unreported dead is unlikely but not impossible. But they definitely have a short awful future which none affected deserve.

In addition to the aspects you’ve mentioned, they also have a history of denying people necessary medications. A number of people have died as a result.

I’m not convinced that these people are organized and competent enough to kill people in that scale without people finding out.

That said, I am certain that a whole lot if people have been killed in custody and covered up, but I don’t think it’s on a scale like that.

Same thoughts. But also too incompetent to single out the detainees who won’t be missed.

Oh for sure, but it’ll again be at least part Incompetence and part maliciousness, with an unfortunate outcome.

    Theoretically? No.

    In reality it’s already happening.

This is from ONE concentration camp. If they’re moving people between these ‘detention centers’ and fudging the data or straight up not recording anything on where people are, then they can disappear who they want, and by the time their lawyers or family get visit approval it’s already too late.

Everyone knew. The Holocaust is just the Jewish part, by the way. It started with dissidents and “unnatural” people.

We’re at the early stage of them trying plan A which is mass deportation to hostile countries until they realize how expensive it is. Then they’ll move on from there. So is mass killing happening? Not likely. Is genocide in place though? Absolutely.

Pasting a reply from elsewhere here:

There’s ~50 billion in fresh funding burning a hole in ICE’s pocket, purchase orders for camps very much including infrastructure for the handling of remains, and published quotas impossible to meet any other way

To be precise: there is no record of what happened to ~1600 of the “detainees” who were last seen at the camp in Florida when it got temporarily shut down. They were booked in but not out. Not held, released, or deported. Just gone.

Oh abso-fucking-lutely they want slaves. Even the Nazis were transparent on that front of forced labor en masse. The thing is they worked people to death then brought fresh bodies in so it was a win win for them.

I want to have enough faith in humanity to believe that someone inside those camps would leak this information if it were happening.

    I want to

    Not yet.

Historically though extermination comes a while after mass incarceration. Much harder to do the latter when the public is aware of the former. It’s unfortunately inevitable at this rate though.
