First off, that would be awesome. I stupidly never saved any of my old freedom fries receipts, and I’ve always regretted that.

Unfortunately for me, our societies relationship with our political system is so radically different from the early 2000s, that I don’t think that specific type of cultural short circuit is possible.

but then again, it was fun back then triggering the conservatives by merely calling them french fries. lol

sometimes you got to look at life’s silver linings to keep your sanity going. lol

Never thought of it that way!

Can “Iran fries” be a thing?

Or maybe since fries is already taken, we can rename “chili” to “Irani stew”?

Does this mean that Iran haven’t mined the straight? Or did the ship just get lucky?

Mines don’t need to be maintained actively, so it would make sense if Iran were about to lose its capacity to sink ships in the strait by other means. As the US said would happen a few weeks ago.

So US media said Iran would or did mine the strait. And sometimes people believe propaganda even if they know better than to trust it.

Right, that was the point I was making there. The only scenario where it would make sense for Iran to mine the strait would be if they couldn’t control it otherwise, and it’s pretty clear they’re in firm control right now.

I don’t think it’s ever been confirmed the strait was mined by Iran. We know China is allowed to pass through without a problem.

“You have to be serious. When you want to be serious, you don’t say the opposite every day of what you said the day before. And perhaps you shouldn’t talk every day,” Macron said.

Watching the empire let a barely sentient monster walk us all into yet another bloodbath certainly is amusing in the worst way possible

It’s one of those moments where the only thing I can do is take solace in the idea of JDPON Don. My life is about to get much worse and it’s already a pale imitation of 2019. Hopefully though, maybe just maybe, it will get so bad that the world becomes a little bit more Chinese. Then I can move there as a refugee and enjoy 𝒷𝒶𝓈𝒾𝒸 𝒾𝓃𝒻𝓇𝒶𝓈𝓉𝓇𝓊𝒸𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒.

imagine telling the 2000s version of yourself that bush would be the smartest republican president in your lifetime.
