Anyone want a gratitude thread? I feel like I’ve been looking at life through a negative lens lately, which doesn’t really help.
So I’m going to start this thread. I am grateful for the beautiful autumn leaves I saw on my walk today. I will show photos next time, as the ones I took today made my location identifiable to any georainbolts out there.
I’m grateful that I found a competent therapist this year who could tell me I probably have autism and point in me in the right direction for the first time in my life.
Thank you, very kind :). Putting 34 years of puzzle pieces together. Now I understand why spending all day doing maths and engineering is easier than making friends or finding partners. Turns out It’s the brain, stupid.
I’ve wanted to mention I’m grateful for the community. Everyone’s so great on here, I’ve been able to ask questions, get insights from people, and just keep up with what others have been getting up to. It’s been nice
I am grateful for the some what subsidence of this awful headache. Also that my new door arrives at 7am tomorrow so I don’t waste the whole day playing wait for the Tradie.
I recently had some surgery (I’m ok, nothing life threatening), and I am very grateful and appreciative of the lovely nurses who looked after me. They were wonderfully kind and skilled, eased my anxieties and made me comfortable. A very big grateful shout out for all the amazing nurses out there, they make such a difference when you’re feeling vulnerable.
I am grateful for frozen veggies, letting me get some easy nutrition in when I can’t be bothered.
I’m also grateful for video calls. I have a meeting tonight for a volunteer gig and once I would’ve had to drive a fair distance and then probably freeze in a cold hall to take part. Instead I can participate at home in my slippers with the heater going.

I forgot to say I’m glad for you too and hope you get some context and reprieve in your journey.
Cheers!

Do you have any recommendations that you wouldn’t mind sharing?

I am grateful for the frozen calamari I forgot I had in the fridge.
I am grateful I can go to bed shortly and close the door on this shitty fucking day.
Have a good sleep
I am grateful for my beautiful friend who I had coffee with today, their continued love and support has been a mainstay in my life.

Today as my train was travelling thru marshland on the way to the city I saw a group of spoonbill birds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_spoonbill
