I found one of the strays with a broken leg and eventually wrangled him? into the cat carrier and we’re at the animal hospital near my place.

I had 2 options. Take ownership or surrender. So I took ownership. I couldn’t abide letting them end up at the lost dogs home.

So congrats Gibson. You will eventually have a friend. (hopefully they’re friends).

Edit: Unfortunately it looks like they were hit by a car and may not be able to go to the bathroom by themselves in which case they will sadly have to be euthanised.

Reading that was an emotional roller coaster. You are a good human. It’s a sad outcome but the kindest. Hugs. Take care of yourself today.

I haven’t seen my stray for a week or so. I keep putting the food out and refreshing the water. Something is eating it. I don’t think I’ll buy anymore food if I don’t see the cat again. Hopefully someone else has adopted it.

Congrats and bloody well done. Thanks for taking care of him! CDS strikes again, fingers crossed him and Gibson are fine. What will you name him?

If he’s a boy and much younger, then it may well work out. The real problems are when you introduce two female cats to each other. Especially if they are the same or similar ages. Guaranteed cat fights in that scenario. Has Gibson been spayed?

Holy fuck, thanks for helping him dude.

I’ve seen options for cats that need assistance (you manually squeeze the urine out for them by pressing their bladder) but it’s an around the clock thing and you’d have to think about his quality of life.

Either way he’s so lucky you’re looking out for him.

      Ooh that’s exciting.

I guess you’ll have to think of a name (if you haven’t already).

edit: oh… poor kitty. Hope it heals up.
