After yesterday’s shitshow “review” with management, I had the BEST time today in the office with the other staff - successfully avoided management like they were radioactive - it was like a reunion/party with everyone else. And the best thing is, I caught up with two PT female colleagues and had almost a mini feminist gathering that was like three way therapy - I feel like we ALL had a breakthrough about how to stake our claims, battle our traumas and find our strength and courage against a vindictive/unsupportive/subtly misogynistic boss.

I feel super positive now about where to go from here and that life is gonna get a whole lot better, overall, in the things that really matter. And that there are awesome people who value and care. 😺

I also note how significantly happier and healthier I feel off antidepressants tbh…

PSA guys. My samples of Double Choc Mousse Cake actually worked which was a surprise because taste.com.au recipes are usually a bit shit.

What I did was placed a chocolate ripple biscuit in each patty pan (6 all up). Made half the mixture but added a tbsp of icing sugar to the cream whist whipping it. The only thing I would add is a dollop of whipped cream on top of the cake

It was delicious. Highly recommend. 5/5 yum yums.

So did you do the choc ripple bikkies instead of blitzing the generic. choc biscuits and mixing with melted butter?

Yes exactly. Just one whole choc ripple biscuit in the patty pan. Put the mousse on top. Put it in the fridge and the fridge softens the biscuit a bit so it’s not hard. When I make the normal size cake I’ll do the proper biscuit base.

This sounds excellent! I don’t have a food processor plus this saves cleaning one thing.

This afternoon in the city I saw two women laughing and mocking a young trans.

Trans gal hurried/ran away with tears in their eyes. 😢 Wish I could have told them not to listen, that there are more caring people out there than haters and given a hug . But they were gone so quick and I don’t blame them.

Happens a lot honestly. I gave some basic bros the finger the other day for it and just started them down. This was just in a supermarket. I usually frankly ask if they’re gonna fucking say something, but it wears you down. They always act surprised and back down, but the damage is done. I’m resilient and am used to being laughed at for my appearance, but it’s fucking awful for a lot of young people who haven’t and shouldn’t have to develop a thick skin. I’ve suffered a bunch of transphobia this week, from supposed allies. I choose not to engage with those people anymore. Allies are often mocked within the trans and gender non conforming community for how often their good will is misplaced. It’s better that people try of course.

There’s no way you can tell us not to listen either, that doesn’t work. We all know transphobes are sick incels and terfs with bitterly shit lives and that more people love us than hate us, but experiencing it first hand sucks.

I read somewhere that negative events and words have 20 times the impact on our brain/emotions than positive events.

So when shit happens to me I tell myself the people that did it are not that important. It’s hard and horrible tho.

        Big big hugs.

We all know transphobes are sick incels and terfs

I have no idea if they were terfs. I suspect that the intolerance was in part ethnicity based.

There’s some truth in that. I’ve never forgotten certain things that has happened when I was bullied as a kid and it still stings and weighs me down.

Positive events related to that subject haven’t stuck with me at all.

That’s really cute. I used to write notes for my daughter . I started off with the ten commandments and when I ran out of those I would write things like thou shall listen to thy mother and father, thou shall keep one’s bedroom tidy, thou shall wash one hands before eating and so on. The ten commandments went for ever.

No pix tonight, but I cooked up a packet of 6 chicken & fetta sangers ready for ramen tomorrow. Only I’ve eaten four of them already. Sangers, that is. Am eyeing off the last two - will they last until tomorrow?

It’s a mercifully rare event now, but this afternoon I had to get on a packed tram in the city. And I thought omg you people are animals for heaven’s sake brush your teeth and wear deodorant!

And since I was in the city, I was reflecting on the fact that sadly, the Melbourne CBD overall is lacking character. Maybe that’s because I’m familiar with it but if I had someone visit Melbourne the CBD would not be the first place I take them.

Also I hate people and there’s just too many fucking people in the CBD.

I’m quite bored with the culture wars. Honestly though I think the government loves it because it distracts people from issues that are harder to solve ie economy energy climate change housing and so on.

Mum got tickets for us to see Paul McCartney! I’m super excited. He’s my favourite Beatle. Though I don’t imagine he’ll play any Beatles songs, so I guess I’ve gotta learn some Wings songs.

He’s still got it. He and his band fucking rock. I’m over big concerts and most old music, but he’s really impressive.

I’ve decided I’m making pizza for dinner tonight, and doing a burger tomorrow night. I’m doing dinner early today, I’m hungry!
