Big thanks to everyone yesterday for the kind advice and support for the ol’ girl.

Sometimes it’s difficult to speak about health concerns to others and be listened to, but not here which I’m very grateful for.

I know I should get over it, but do you think it’s ‘ok’ to be miffed about donating something to someone and not even getting a thank you in return?

It’s been a month. I am mostly over it, but from time to time it comes to mind and it bugs me as someone who lives in a world thinking they’ve never mattered.

Trying a new gym class tonight and I’m actually very nervous. My fitness has slipped so much, am looking for something to inspire me!

eCommerce launch today at work, quite exciting. This is the whole reason I took this role and it should be a game changer for me going forward

Don’t you love when you’re driving along listening to some dramatic music and just as the music swells, you happen to look over as the sun is breaking through the clouds? Beautiful!

    Winter solstice this weekend!

Beach, I will be sure to wear a hat and a windproof jacket 🌞💨🌊

So many pelicans today, must have been at least fifty. When the wind started gusting and a little rain started they hunkered down tucking their chin onto their breast.

Yesterday YL needed permission to go on an excursion. Yeah yeah sure. Then she says “oh dad. You’ll love this. We’re going to see &$#@%?”. I had no idea what she even said but he got really excited (he doesn’t get excited about much) and then there was a lot of nerd talk and I felt left out.

So this morning I went back to the permission slip and it said “Particle accelerator”. I googled and I still have no fucking clue as to what that is but I learnt that we have the only one in Australia here in Melbourne.

I guess that’s a fun fact for those who know what that is.

The one down at Monash? Oooh jelly! It’s quite fascinating. Basically a big tunnel circle underground, with machines that can squirt atoms/molecules etc. at very high speeds at items in each target zone. Like a very big roundabout with high speed atom cannons instead of roads leading off it. This helps people find out what the items in the target zone are made of and their internal structure. Super useful for mining, engineering, medical stuff and a host of other stuff.

I can take you to savemore for cheap odd failed product lines. It’s my local attraction. You can bring the dog.

Do you ever look at stuff there and wonder what’s wrong with it and why is it there?

The dog’s too unruly for social trips.

Often, although I’ve become somewhat desensitised to the wacky things they sometimes have, eg, the Mountain Dew flavoured Doritos. I think of it kind of like a food opportunity shop, there isn’t always opportunity.

I went on an excursion to that as well when I was in HS, must have been 2009 or 08, it was very new at that time! It’s so cool! The Australian Synchrotron!

Basically, it’s a big tube with electromagnetic fields, and they use it to make atoms and particles go super fast - it helps with particle physics research!

Gaaaaaah! Partner will not use her phone as an alarm, but does not wake up in time, meaning I have to consistently wake her up else she’ll be late for work. Also, meaning it’s up to me to get the kids going for school and make lunches so they are not late… Not every day but at least a few times a week…GAAAAAAH! Infuriating.

    Dream 1:

Guitarist teaches people the value of music. The dream somehow turns into action movie about guitarist saving a country from some kind of chemical warfare.

The guitarist character is a guy from my team at work. He does not play guitar.

    Dream 2:

    Became a Buddhist.

Today was not a great day to realise I’d left my rain jacket in the work car. Luckily I nabbed a park close to the library and don’t have to walk far with an umbrella. Wish me all the focus and concentration to get my presentation ready by tomorrow arvo - I’m going to start by creating one diagram summarising my entire method and two maps that need to go in my report anyway
