I made this for breakfast yesterday. I’m not sure what to call it. Slow cooked marinated lamb, fried onion, and scrambled egg on pita with chilli sauce. It needed something to wake up the flavour. I like chilli sauce, but it was slightly overpowering and made the dish one dimensional.

I watched Trainwreck: Poop Cruise and it confirmed to me how precious Americans are. The ship is in a state of anarchy and they were more concerned about how long they can hold out for before they needed to shit into a biohazard bag.

The highlight for me was when a crew member described the state of the dunnies. (Not verbatim) "There was poo. A layer of toilet paper. Poo. Toilet paper. Poo. It was like a lasagne.

    I couldn’t stop laughing. 5/5 hobbits

We saw that, definitely 5/5 hobbits. How about the people taking Imodium so they didn’t poo…for days?! It’s put me off ever going on a cruise, though

If it’s any consolation, that cruise caused many of the big cruises to install back up generators onboard their ships 😂 and have secondary engine rooms!

I have a hair type that’s difficult to get dry/takes a long time even after being towel dried and combed, so the cheap Kmarget hairdryers overheat and shut down while half my head is still wet. Often repeatedly.

With EOFY sales on can anyone recommend a decent hairdryer that still has a reasonable budget? I’m thinking a basic workhorse under $50. No special features are really needed.

(Not really in the market for brushes or tools or things for a styling blow dry, I just need a dryer that will let me rough dry my roots with my fingers so my scalp isn’t sitting damp for a long time.)

Dog keeps peeing in the house. We have established that it’s probably a separation anxiety or boredom thing, because he does it when no one’s home. He has a dog door to go outside of. So he shall go on a longer walk and if that doesn’t work then I’m not sure.

YL walks in and says “What is this song I keep singing?” I listen, I answer “Air Supply. All out of love”. She walks out and I hear a tiny “fuck”.

2% spices is quite a lot - might actually have a punch. Haven’t ever tried it though. If looking for a very mild sauce, try the Chicken Tonight range or similar with added spice (by you). That is, fry up protein, add spices to taste or not, then add sauce from bottle and simmer as per instructions. If doing something like this, I use garam masala rather than chilli and that works very well. Plenty of taste but you still have tastebuds after eating it.

Would it be too much of a stretch to assume that it’s 2% divided between 7 spices in equal amounts?

No I haven’t but the chances of it actually being spicy is like 0%

If on the odd chance you do get a bit of spice and you don’t like just add a bit of milk to the end result.

Good tip, I;ll have to remember that but won’t it chnage the way it tastes if I added milk to it?

Nope. 1/4 of a cup should do it. Chilli is the 13 ingredient on the list. Very unlikely to be spicy hot. Butter chicken is a starter pack for kids.

I’d test drive it for you if I could! (I really miss mild Indian food)

But Aldi products get a lot of informal reviews so I recommend having a google around. I found some but not sure about etiquette of linking FB or the other place.

If you’re not a spice fan and unsure whether you’ll like it it might be better to make your own version to avoid ruining anything you put it on. Tinned tomatoes and spice packets are cheap. Or buy it and first try a smear on toast to avoid throwing out a meal.

Otherwise buy a tub of Greek yogurt to mix in or blend with some cheap fruit for a lassi. Yogurt and milk in general have a cooling effect because the fat insulates your mouth from the spicy oils, and Greek yogurt tends to be creamier and fattier.

If you’re worried about it not being spicy enough… I don’t know, never had that problem but you can add heat.

I might try one bottle and see how it goes, I hope it’s really mild as I don’t like spicy foods.

You might like chip shop curry or Japanese curry. I’ve never had either but they’re said to be milder

My meows are realistic enough that it attracted the attention of a strolling cat who looked disappointed before moving on. Further meows were ineffective.

I will always find the look a cat gives you when you accidentally touch them after they’ve cleaned themselves utterly hilarious.

    Just absolute disdain lol

Was tired but now can’t sleep. Been scrolling Imgur, looking at real estate I fantasize about buying, clearing emails and quiet stuff on my phone. At least it’s lovely and quiet.
