Unless one of my references lost it about me, which I highly doubt, then idk. I guess there was someone better.

Got down the bellarine last night. Fell asleep and missed geelong station again and woke up at marshall lol. 3rd time now. The chairs are too comfy.
But geelong station at 9pm is interesting. Only 2 arrests over an hour while waiting for the bus, no idea what for. Average wed. night I guess. Stupid place to pull shit as the copshop is right next door. Literally walked out the station, nabbed them and walked back.
But fuck it’s good to have some alone time. Walking here from the bus stop (15min walk) in almost pitch black, no noise except the surf in the background was bliss. Reminded me of when I was kid (13/14) punching cones in the dunes w/ mates and walking back in the wee smalls. Brought back memories. p’s were strictish back in melbs but down here nothing mattered. No questions, no curfew. thinking back pretty lucky w/ that absolute freedom at that age here.

I think an op shop dud my girlfriend got me was this Tommy Hilfiger sweater. It has a really closed neck hole like it wanted to be a turtleneck then just gave up. So it can look a bit weird when you wear a collared shirt with it, which is what I’d expect you to do.
And since it’s solid white you can see anything that’s put on underneath it. So you ideally need a plain white shirt because any prints or patterns will just show through. It’s one of those pieces of clothing that’s less of a hidden gem and more like ,‘yep, I can see why this is at the op shop.’

They weren’t fucking kidding. I had one that i’d grown from seed, eventually it got so big we had to ground plant it. Of course, ten years later, Cunt Landlord. His lordship didn’t want to leave it so we were gonna transplant, but FIL got trigger happy, started on it himself and sheared straight through the tap root. Still, we sighed, persevered, repotted in native soil, cross fingered and moved.
Of course it died…or did it? A year later I go around to finally clear out that pot and lazarus seedlings. Not the first time that tree did it either, a bad drought “killed” it ages ago and it came back.

Someone told me once that even though the quiet can be tough to sit with, it is a luxury.
Maybe it’s that I can actually choose what to do with my life instead of constantly reacting to threats and living in a kind of long term survival mindset.

I get flexible deadlines in uni because of my ADHD but I don’t think I should be. My goal for next year is to do things on time.
I find I can’t push myself to finish things until there is a hard deadline, no matter how much I tell myself I will do things earlier. My last subject let you submit your assignments up to one week after to due date with no penalty, so I didn’t do any of the assignments until the last day of that week after the due date.
ADHD might make it harder to organise yourself to get things done, but I don’t think flexible deadlines are a good answer - especially as there is always a hard deadline for the end of the subject that can’t be flexible, and you run the risk of everything piling up at the end. Plus it stops you getting feedback on earlier assignments in time for them to be useful for the next one.
I agree. It also doesn’t feel great always being the last one to submit things. 10 day extensions are too much even though the uni has due dates that are very close together.
I find deadlines very motivating, and a deadline every week.
