Candid shots of a few of the crew. Their dry food is on the ground so the crazy lady doesn’t throw it out. 🐱

Edit: I changed today. I was having another stress fest about work. I went and laid down and had one of those “self talk” sessions.

I’ve been taking work way too seriously. In general. I’ve been giving everything to my job and left nothing for myself.

Since I reduced the medication I’ve noticed the lack of energy after work because I’m not hyped up. So I’m sitting there, not knowing what to do with myself. Even music is hard. Very hard. So I’ve been going to bed very early.

I don’t need 10 hours of sleep. I just have nothing to do because I’m completely spent.

Because everything has been devoted to work.

On double the dose I was a workaholic automaton.

This is the 3rd week since the reduction. Significant personality changes noted. More relaxed and happier to banter with people. Body is less tensed up.

    Being content. Smiling. Laughing.

I wonder what else will change.

It’s great you’ve been able to reflect on things in that way.

I wonder if there’s a balance, like two in the morning and one in the afternoon so you can get through work with enough energy at the end of the day without being too hyper.

But I get the medicine probably doesn’t work that way

Thanks man. I’m not describing it well.

I feel completely personally detached from work. Like there is a barrier between me, and work me. My entire self was engulfed by work.

Now it isn’t and it’s a great feeling!

        If that makes sense.

I have been experimenting with dosages, and have found that works best.

Had a medical cannabis wafer last night, I don’t think I’ve ever slept so damn well.

I’ve been saying “wafer thin mint” all morning much to my own amusement.

I got on the medical stuff a couple of months back and holy shit it’s great. A tad pricey, but my consumption is low, so it’s manageable.

Hopefully it’ll become legal and regulated sooner than later.

I’ve been on and off on MC over the last few years (tolerance breaks and financial reasons for the off periods), and nothing has helped me sleep better than MC.

This is my first time trying the wafer though, and that was a deep sleep

People are getting seasick on this ferry. I am not one of them (I don’t get seasick, I’m very comfortable on open water) but the ferry staff have checked on me twice.

I can only assume they’ve seen me stand up and made the wrong guess

My daughter’s having some friends over next week for some birthday drinks. These are her 4 closest pals and it makes my heart swell the love and bond they all share as she is an only child. They are the most loveliest, responsible mixed bag of young people I’ve ever met.

The man and I will be in the backyard with a bonfire going roasting spuds and marshmallows because I don’t feel comfortable about leaving them on their own considering 3 of them are slightly under the drinking age. (And yes, I do have permission from their parents).

Also I’ll be making them some cocktails but they will be a little on the weaker side. They won’t know that though.

Love that you’re creating a safe, respectful environment for your kid and friends, that’s really awesome.

So what kind of cocktails? Is the good old fruit tingle done?

The good old fruit tingle is on the list! Cosmopolitans, illusions, tequila sunrise. Tbh they’ll probably only have 1 or 2 cocktails each and then stick to vodka & Solo.

As responsible as you are you’re still allowed to bring up embarrassing childhood stories at the worst time.

I suggest Black Russians. They don’t taste like lolly water and you can dilute them quite a bit and still feel like you are drinking booze.

        Nawww.

I never let any of them go home on their own. They either get picked up or I’ll take them home because safety is so important to me. In return they shower me with love.

My kid will say “You can’t go home at this hour on the bus. My mother will have kittens”. 😂

My French is better than I thought. I managed to direct/have a lengthy conversation with a French tourist who was gifted with enthusiastic but terrible English skills.

I’ve also picked up a katsu curry bowl and am ready to withdraw into seclusion for the evening.

A 20km drive home (freeway driving) took 40 minutes. Between that and just suchhhh a shitty day at work, I actually had to go to the gym or I’d have torn myself apart.

Now sitting outside, enjoying the breeze.

I don’t really fancy cooking and cleaning up after a stir fry today.

I think I’ll just air fry some thick crunchy chips tonight.

21 degrees at 8:30am in May. Wtf. Just really really hoping that it doesn’t mean that Winter drags on as well!

Also had a dream that boyo was participating in a 15km run that started in Melbourne but ended in China - 10km done in Melbourne, then catching a flight to Vietnam in order to run into China for the finish. Huh?!

Didn’t sleep well thanks to it being so warm last night.

I’m in zombie mode at the moment.

Got lost at the hosplital yesterday picking up the ol’ boy from a day thing… twice. Ended up in areas I was not supposed to be in. Shoutout to the nurses there who took me on a little tour and were very friendly about it lol. Honestly whoever designed that thing back in the day (freemasons east melbs) was drunk.

Years ago, Mum and I were in PANCH, had a bit of time to kill. Let’s go and have a look at the newborn babies through the window she said. Apparently that’s a big no no. We were eyed with suspicion and then kindly told by the nurse “we don’t show the babies anymore”. Whoops.
