Meeting someone I used to be friends with 20 years ago. It was during a particularly shitty period of my old life. We reconnected via Facebook marketplace of all places lol.

My bed is too comfortable. I screwed up buying the super tufted under blanket thing.
Why leave when I’m so comfy?
I’m sitting here all nice and warm under a blanket.
I don’t want to get up to go to the bathroom either.
I bought a thick soft mattress topper (10cm thick bamboo) and also got some new linen sheets. It has definitely made the bed extra cozy. I also have a heated throw rug on the couch though, so there are lots of competing cozy spots around.
I didn’t know heated throw rugs existed. Off to the shops tomorrow lol

Flights to Perth and back booked - phew. Thank goodness for my in-laws shouting us - the cheapest flights are exxy AF when the cost is 78% of my monthly rent 😬
But it’ll be good - we haven’t seen my partner’s brother and his wife since before covid, and they have a son and daughter now! So catching up with the nieces and nephew, and his family will be great.
I hope I can still get a job, despite being away for 20 days, but I’ll do what I can!
Inspection next week 😭 shame I can’t complain about the concept itself affecting my quiet enjoyment of this abode 🙄

I was feeling a bit sad that Sox has been a bit saucy and aloof (more swiping/nipping, barely moving off the oodie on my bed) the last two days. But today she has come around completely after I was watching some cat videos that alarmed her, and especially after hanging around all morning. I think in the end she was just getting pissy with me because I’d been out for most of the day 4 days in a row and was lonely 🥺
Now she’s back to her friendly lap-cuddling, aggressively headbutting self 💜
Guess you’re glued to wherever you are now and on a weekend no less!
I very reluctantly had to dislocate her to go help out an aunty with something, but now I’m back and she’s a little disgruntled but not as much as before!
On the days I work in the office, I come home to a very vocal Fluffball who seems quite annoyed the treat servent wasn’t home all day lol
Yes I think sox does not appreciate her servant taking off like this either hahaha. Even if she’s sleeping elsewhere or investigating bags or whatever, she still needs to keep an eye on me!
I’m having such a nice day. Slept in late (thanks to nurse Restavit), and have been parked on the couch with the heater on watching trashy Netflix, doing nothing at all

So it turns out Miniest needs reading glasses. Huh. Didn’t have that on my bingo card for this year 🤔. She’s pretty happy to wear glasses too and luckily she looks good wearing them.
I hear that if you’re buying plain spectacles, eg not tinted or multifocal, zenni online is pretty cheap, you just need to get a copy of kids prescription.

At the end of my cafe and chess breakfast with my friend, her partner showed up with hot lukomades drowning in warm chocolate sauce. Soooo good. It made getting whipped 3-0 feel much better

Love it when you turn on a random movie on TV and figure out exactly what’s happening even though you only started watching halfway in. The movie was terrible but it hooked me.

12.8 degrees in my house this morning, the lowest so far this winter. Switched the heater on and back under the bed sheets waiting patiently for some warmth before I get up.
