There was plenty of Molly around at the nightclubs 20 years ago but it didn’t seem appropriate to say that to a 16 year old.

Someone leaked the lists. I don’t think it was a hack. The conversation turned into “why is this random dentist being blocked”? “Who is making these lists”? “How do you get unblocked?” Etc
The government was half-hearted about the whole thing anyway, only toying with it for Family First. It fizzled after.

Just did my first solo trivia night and there was quite a crowd, feels like a good sign for me going forward. Plus I’ll get to practice all over again tomorrow night covering at a venue I’ve never done before.
Ok hopefully I have fixed the issue. Thx to studspud the starchy one for her insights. I think issue was that I accidentally signed up through lemmy.world instead of Aussie.zone and there might have been some synching issues. Hope now resolved?

I’ve heard that sharing your goals can make your less likely to achieve them, but I have a goal. Next year, I want to improve my writing. I got an assignment back that said I was more descriptive than analytical, which is probably a Year 9 English problem, something I should’ve learnt when I was 15. Writing has always been something a source of anxiety. I remember the first essay I had to write under timed conditions in early high school, I had broken down into tears.
I think solving the procrastination problem, and being more “meta” about my work can help with this. Also asking for help. I think when academic skills reopens, I’ll ask them how I can improve.

Reading up some more and cats are very sensitive to fumes from even odourless mineral spirits, which are also really flammable… I could try to work outside but bubs would fuss and I’m still not confident in the disposal issue.
Perhaps I should first just use paint from the tube and try cleaning brushes with vegetable oil followed by soap and water.
And find somewhere safe to keep these flammable bottles in Summer :/ /paranoid
work near the kitchen suction fan, keep windows open if you can
Yeah, my anxiety is just going crazy. Stupid because I used to use turps to clean brushes back when I stripped and repainted furniture (when I was more able bodied) and nothing happened but I don’t like taking chances.
I wish I had a shed with an extraction fan, or enough room to paint outside with Melbcat in a big comfortable cat run nearby
