I got the email to say that my certificate will be ready in a couple of weeks, and that I’ve met all the requirements (paid up, passed all modules, etc). Then I can include it with my applications instead of just saying “I passed! I swear! Pinky promise!”

Workforce is on to me though, and wants me to find a job service provider. I’ve heard so many horror stories I don’t even know where to start. And I’m still limited by only having my learner’s license, I’m still saving up to buy a bunch of bulk lessons. That’s all a morning problem though lol.

It might be worth cross referencing available providers with local Google reviews. Maybe stick with the bigger places as well as working with Centrelink is just another NDIS level grift. My brother in law was with a provider and I swear it took him a year to find a job so no rush if you find a decent place

I was giving death stares to a person taking a very long phone call in the open plan area at co-working, pacing around outside of their office so as to not bother their staff but instead bothering everyone in the open plan area including myself (make it make sense). Doesn’t use the phone / scream booths right in front of him. Anyway, he finally got the message from my death stares and said “sorry” and went back into his office to finish the call. That’s my win for the day.

My significant win this week is that my hair is looking…actually good. Simple chunky bob for the win. 💇

Nice hair can make a big difference to how you feel! My hair is butt length and an absolute PITA, but when it’s shiny and behaving, I love it. However, now that I’m swimming 3 x week, I’m thinking about lopping it off.

lol just reading on the other place gardeningaustralia someone battling oxalis.

I’m not telling them my instruments of DOOOOOM!

Funnily enough the biggest sustainable doom instrument is just mulch heh.

e: that’s not to say I’m not struggling too, running around the place w/ insecticide is weird.

Grrrr got my tax return back and as expected, my bloody super deduction is not available and I owe them a huge chunk now AND I’m out of pocket for the substantial amount I deposited… guess I will have to make those phone calls when it’s 8am. Not happy Jan. I foresee a lot of “no you need to contact ATO!”, “no you need to contact your super fund!” back and forth…

E: and it’s been three hours now, 4:30am and I can’t get back to sleep. Do they put something in these pizzas?

24 minute wait to get a call back then a 15 minute call from the ATO done, now on hold with the super fund with three callers ahead of me in the queue… blaaah… At least the ATO staff member was super helpful and escalated my issue but she did say the super fund still needs to report the contribution before anything can be processed. I have Words for the super fund about not being clear regarding how soon they send contribution info to the ATO

Shit. I hope you’ll be able to sort it out.

Out of curiosity when were they wanting you to pay the bill by not that you have to because of what your superfund has done to you.

They haven’t put in a due date yet but typically I think you have until 21 November unless you filed with an agent and/or have requested a payment plan.

I filed the return myself, followed all the instructions to a tee, turns out my super fund is not being very truthful or clear about how quickly they then send that info to the ATO.

It appears to be very rare for the contributions to not show up with the ATO, according to both the ATO, the super fund and two accountants I spoke to, and there is no paperwork to “see” really (everything was good on paper) but thanks for the condescension anyway I guess

apologies, wasn’t meaning to be condescending. Was meant to be more commiserating with a “Never trust the bastards, they will get you any way they can” sorta vibe

I am guessing the tax return was filed before the notice of intent to claim the super was done. You can’t claim Super as a deduction on your tax return until the Super fund has taken out the 15% tax and processed it as a concessional contribution.

No, I filed the tax return well after the NOICC was done and I received an acknowledgement. But the super fund has still not submitted the data to the ATO despite repeatedly saying they did on the phone when I noticed the discrepancy

Got today and tomorrow off work to spend with Minipeelers. Also I have a parcel to collect 😃I think my balaclava/hood things have arrived (I love those things; I wear them in scarf/snood mode during the day to keep my neck warm and make my apron sit correctly, and pull up the hood if it’s extra cold or raining. It’s been a winter game changer for me). What to do? I know they want to go to Melbourne Central on one day and an art supply shop at some point. Art supply shops are expensive tho, and I usually wing it with $2 shops where I can get small canvasses and acrylic paints for a fraction of the price.

Just checked the train replacements on the Mernda/Hurstbridge line. Bus replacements until last service SUNDAY 20/7!!! Must be one hell of a fault at Clifton Hill. link I reckon it’ll last longer than that though.

Sometimes you can do everything perfect and the person still isn’t in a space to receive it or come out of that spiral. Love isn’t a substitute for therapy, medication, or whatever he needs, so he has to think about what would help him.

Make sure to look after yourself. You can support him but make sure to spread the load and ensure you’re not trying harder than he is. You can’t do it all
